OOOPS nobody can prove it either way..........LOL
But, your conversion to your God and Savior Al Gore's Church Of the Holy Carbon Credit has been recognized for saving the glaciers of the Himalaya.

Painted One with the EuroTrashChick, Kneel down before thy God Al Gore and Beg his forgivness for your past indisgressions. You shall surely be rewarded with Carbon Credits.

There's nothing to suggest that any human is in any sense "timeless and eternal."

All evidence points to the fact that we are just like all other things that live; brief and based solely on our physical existence.

You live and you die – game over. No "soul", no "miracles", no magic – just reality - deal with it.

All the epistemological pain those who have been victimized by religions suffer is unnecessary.

There's nothing to worry about when you die because there will be no more "you", just as there was no "you" before you were born and gradually became self-aware.

Paleoclimatologists and scientists from other disciplines you never heard off figure there are many causes behind ancient climate changes, including earth orbital shifts, volcanic activities and even meteor strikes.

But of course, the opinions of a learned person such as yourself trumps them all...LOL

SOoooooo, we won't sweat the minor information such as "earth orbital shifts, volcanic activities and even meteor strikes".

Seems to me that "little" tidbits of information like that should be completely understood......but these events are not fully documented or understood. The affects of the sun on our planet are an even more important "little" item in regard to our climate changes, but the development of scientific understanding of the sun is in relative infancy......and yet, man's arrogance enables him to say that he has got it all figured out.
Friggen amazing considering that not one scientist can accurately predict any weather related catastrophe that will happen in the next six months.
it would be nice to know....it would save lives...... but there are too many variables.....so they just cannot do it.

Many causes....LOL

And can they prove any of them beyond a shadow of doubt???
NOPE..........LOL

And all good scientist will agree to say they don't know for sure.......

Then the crack pots come about and claim to know what is happening to the climate today and claim to know what caused it..........ROTFLMAO

And moronic liberals believe them.......

But the truth is there is no more evidence for creation than there is for MMGW..........LOL

I just figure that I have no way of proving what happens difinitivly so we just have to wait and see.

if there is something, it most likely happens to everybody.

I do remember my Geology classes, and there is no simple answer because no one really knows exactly why ice ages start but everyone who studies it knows that their part of a natural cycle that has been repeating itself since long before man invented fire.

Without man made fires, cars, and power plants, the earth's ice age cycle cold part,(called the ice age), lasts about 100,000 years, and the warm periods between them about 10,000 years.

Right now we're approaching the 10,000 year mark on the warm spell, so if we weren't here, we'd expect another ice age could start any year now, and a good part of the earth, including many entire countries, would be covered by so much ice that no one could grow food because there would not be any visible dirt.

If we're real lucky and the Global Warming people are right,(and their not), that horrible ice age might be postponed a little.

I don't know about you, but I think the chaos the next ice age will bring to the world, will be hundreds of times worse than it would have been if we'd actually been able to prolong and perhaps increase the Global Warm Period.

At least with a hot warm spell, most of the world could still grow their own food. At least most of their homes, and cities, would not be crushed by mountains of ice, quite as soon, as it will if nature just keeps doing what it always has.

Some greenhouses are warmed by the sun and other greenhouses are heated up via gas or electric heaters, the purpose of the green house is to retain the heat.

It seems to me that the issue is not as much as what heats up the Earth as much as what retains the heath on the Earth.

Our knowledge of the sun and it's effects upon the Earth is by no means complete but it is infinitely greater then it was when the first caveman figured out the sun to be a source of heat...

Also, we should not confuse weather with climate, generally, weather is localized and relatively ephemeral whereas climate pretty much affects the entire planet and spans eons...

I know what you mean, those annoying weather men/women on TV annoy me to no end and most of them can not even figure out yesterdays weather...

Do most scientist agree that the USA has seen many ice ages and many thaws????
YES........LOL

Do most scientist agree it happened but don't know why???
YES

Do you understand that they KNOW the ice ages happened but DON"T know why they happened???

When driving down the road and you see that a car has crashed into the tree you can safely say that the car hit the tree and the tree did not hit the car but can you tell us why the car hit the tree just by driving by???

Only a moronic liberal would say they can,,,,,,

I see your conservative logic and it is quite a stretch...LOL

Just because moronic conservatives finally figured out that a tree can't jump in front of a moving car it means that there is no AGW...? ROTFLMAO

And that, in a nutshell, is the issue. If we don't know why the earth warmed and cooled before us, how can we possibly know why it is warming and cooling now? What forces acted upon the earth (or on the earth) to cause those changes? Are they in force now? We have no idea.
What *I* know is that a carbon tax is not the solution.
