Does anyone know if there was a hearing yesterday on the 9th, and if so, what happened?
On 3/2, the defense filed a notice of motion to produce under Pitchess and the DA's office filed an opposition to that motion on the same day. The court site doesn't specify court dates for those two filings. |

I've had Happy Camp ties for a very long time. Since 1978. It's more likely that you would know my sister as she is younger than I am. She and my cousin both graduated from Happy Camp High. My mom moved away from there in 1986. My grandfather lived there until he passed away in 1988. My uncle lived there until just a few years ago. I was there for every holiday, Bigfoot days, basically every weekend I could get over there. I loved Happy Camp, but there wasn't much as far as employment opportunities. I never actually resided there, but it's fair to say that it was my second home. That's about all I'm comfortable saying on this thread. I agree it would be really nice to meet some of you. |

I kinda have to. I don't want to give to much detail, but is it not a mothers god given right to dress her daughter up like a cupcake so she can walk down the isle? We eloped to avoid this, I guess you can't hide from fate. The bridal shows are a blast, to say the least. |

I left in 1987. |

It's very possible you would know my family. |

It's a little silly to talk about hearsay on this thread! I haven't been sworn in to post here, have any of you? Frankly, rumor is all we have at this point because we haven't heard any sworn testimony. So what! Everybody should speak their minds without having to hear about hearsay! TomC talking about Greg is hearsay too. Nobody gets on him. Geez!
Miss HW, if your mom insists on this, you should wear something shocking down the aisle! You could really have fun with this!:-) |
|
Thankful...it's so good to hear from you! I hope all is well.
You're right....none of us have been sworn in under penalty of perjury as to our opinions. What we say to one another isn't material to the judicial proceedings anyway. There is no law against interpretation of facts. |

From what I have read, if there were National Guard available, they would have been there at the arrest in Hoopa..
So, because the Narcotics Squad was there, you assume there were drugs? My guess is, the Narcotics Squad was called in because they have Guns and choppers. Guns to apprehend two people who were and have been nonviolent for all their lives. |

Miss hw my best friend and ex in law ran off and got married at age 50. Her father died 2yrs before and mom had waited forever for her to marry. Mom had alzhiemers so I planned a little family reunion and borrowed a dress and staged a little fake wedding for her. My daughter made a beautifull wedding cake and we all took lots of pics and it was such a special thing to give to her mom and she still remembers that day. And my friend has such beautiful memories of that day. So have fun and enjoy the day. And heres my quote.
"people allways take a step away from what is true thats why i like you around" |

Can anyone tell me why some of the earlier comments were pulled on the thread? My feeling was some of them were pertinent to the trial but that is just a W-A-G. Some of them could have been pulled because they were too racist but I'm curious to hear form you move involved here day to day here...

# Trial date set in cold murder case
Jury selection in the 32-year-old kidnap and murder case against Hoopa resident Gregory Nelson will start in September. Motions by the defense and an appellate court review have caused a number of delays since the preliminary hearing last December, pushing the start of the trial to the fall of this year. http://siskiyoudaily.com/archive/x1362398986/... |

Miss hw
Along time ago my children's grandmother, insisted that her son and I have a real wedding. I did not see at the time the difference between the two. But I gave in and did it anyway. My daughters at the time were real small and I did not realize how important it would be to them. Well they are all grown up and on their own, I still have the picture of them in their pretty dress on the ice box. To this day they think of my wedding as the best day of their lives and they always want to see the picture album and see the vhs tape. So I guess what I am trying to say is have a wonderful wedding day and let the children small or old have some great memories.west wishes and a happy ever after.congrad's |

Print This Print This | ShareThis Yreka, Calif.- When former Siskiyou County Undersheriff Jack Partlow retired in 1981, one open case continued to weigh on him. Partlow had worked numerous homicides, robberies, assaults and other major cases in Siskiyou County, making arrests in most of them. The kidnapping and brutal murder of 6-year-old William “Willie” Cook Jr. of Happy Camp, however, went unsolved, baffling authorities trying to uncover who snatched him from his father’s pickup truck, killed him and stashed his naked body in a barrel near the Klamath River. This week, 32 years after Cook was kidnapped and 27 years after Partlow hung up his badge, sheriff’s deputies arrested two people. Both face kidnapping charges and at least one will be charged with murder.“I was thrilled,” Partlow said this week after learning of the arrests of Suzane Dorene Little, 69, and Gregory Lynn Nelson, 51, both of Hoopa.“That’s one of the few cases I had that was still open from my career in law enforcement. Because of the age of the boy it made it that much worse. It was the youngest one I worked.” Partlow was a captain when Cook was abducted. He lead the investigation to try to determine who took the boy, and then who killed him. “It reached a point that there were very few leads,” Partlow said.“There wasn’t much on it until now.” A massive search led by Partlow and other deputies, as well as dozens of Happy Camp residents, failed to find any sign of the boy. “Deputy Fairchild and myself actually moved to Happy Camp to a motel for three months so we could be on the scene to work anything that came in,” Partlow said. First searchers feared Cook fell into the Klamath River.“Initially we thought he had fallen in the river because Indian Creek enters the Klamath River right at that point,” he said.“The truck was parked just a short distance from the river. We started searching the river.” Residents of Happy Camp, then a booming timber and gold mining town, helped search. “All the citizens got involved and searched in the buildings and under the buildings and anywhere the kid might have gone,” Partlow said.“The people in Happy Camp took it to heart and assisted any way they could. Half of the people of Happy Camp were out to help look for him. Throughout the investigation they were helpful in anyway they could.” Soon the investigation turned from a possible lost child to a kidnapping. Cook disappeared Aug. 28, 1976. Partlow and other deputies held out hope for finding Cook, only to be shocked Feb. 18, 1977, when two campers discovered the boy’s naked body stuffed into a barrel approximately 16 miles northwest of Yreka near the Tree of Heaven Campground. Partlow continued to work the case, following up new leads, searching for new clues, until he retired. Still living in Yreka, Partlow assisted the sheriff’s office a couple of times after he retired, once even flying to Texas to interview someone possibly connected to the case. Just when it appeared everybody had forgotten about the case, someone tipped the Yreka Police Department last month they knew what happened. Detectives followed the leads. The district attorney got involved. This week, Sheriff Rick Riggins and several deputies went to Hoopa and arrested Little and Nelson. A murder charge is expected to be filed against Nelson within a few days. Partlow says he’s relieved major developments have been made in the case and closure may be nearing for Cook’s family as prosecutors seek justice. He’ll be following the case, ready to testify if needed, hoping the case of little Willie Cook will finally be closed. |

tom tom, postings have been pulled from this thread intermittently for a while now. It's been a while since I've gone all the way back to see what's been taken out, but as far as guessing goes, it could be anything, really. A lot of postings that just say "well said" or "I agree" or "you're an idiot" might have been taken out just due to the space they take up. There have been some extremely offensive things said that weren't material to the case at all and I hope those are the posts that have been deleted. It's been suggested some time ago that some of the posts may have been deleted due to copyright infringement. This thread would easily be well up over 5,000 postings if not for the deletions. I'll scan back through to see if I can tell what's missing, but not today. |

"Guns to apprehend two people who were and have been nonviolent for all their lives. "
Isn't that hearsay!? ha Somehow I think Willie and his family would disagree with you. |
ALL the Aubrey's are related, and Jodine is no longer wanted for questioning. She never WAS wanted for questioning, she was wanted for WARRANTS. I know, because she's a good friend of mine. |

"Guns to apprehend two people who were and have been nonviolent for all their lives."
Since you don't deal in hearsay I am to assume that you have lived with them "all their lives", otherwise how would you know that for a fact? This is a slippery slope, huh, this hearsay business? Comes back to bite. |

Aubrey arrested on bench warrant Sean Garmire/The Times-Standard Posted: 11/07/2008 01:15:43 AM PST Jodene Louise Aubrey, a passenger of one vehicle involved in an illegal street race that claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl and seriously injured her mother, was arrested in Crescent City Tuesday morning. According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Aubrey was arrested without incident at 8:51 a.m. as she was riding in another vehicle on Pike Street. She was taken into custody on a bench warrant related to charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle and driving an unlicensed vehicle -- all misdemeanor allegations. She was transported to the Humboldt County jail Tuesday afternoon, where she remains on $20,000 bail, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office reported. Authorities began searching for Aubrey following the Oct. 6 street race, which took place on State Route 299. According to CHP information, Aubrey was one of three passengers riding in a silver Mustang that was being driven by Anthony Flores. Flores, 19, was allegedly racing Jason Whitmill, 31, when Whitmill's 2004 Pontiac Sunfire clipped a Chevrolet Tahoe that was driving the same direction. The Sunfire and the Tahoe drove off the road, and the Tahoe hit a utility pole, leaving the Tahoe driver seriously injured, and killing her 9-year-old daughter. According to a court document, shortly after the race, Aubrey took possession of the Mustang, telling Flores she would “take care of” the damage to the vehicle. When the Mustang was found six days after the collision, the vehicle had been spray-painted black. Flores now faces a manslaughter charge and Whitmill, who was allegedly driving under the influence at the time, faces a murder charge. However, District Attorney Paul Gallegos has said he has decided not to charge Aubrey as an accessory. Sean Garmire |

Tom, so you won't believe. That's really up to you, isn't it? If we are still here after the trial is over I just might let you know what I know. In the meantime you probably will just call me names like you have been doing. I have told you before I am not your enemy as you seem to think. If you want to think otherwise that is your perogative. You know if Greg is found innocent I would apologise to you. I have felt all along that if it was him that had killed Willie that he was ordered by someone else to do so. As it looks right now that is exactly what he is saying happened. It still doesn't change the murder part but, if he was scared for his life at least I could understand why he did it. Suzanne and Joyce are another story, and I still want to know where Antonne ties into all of this and i do believe he was in on it too. Just my believe. Also to your statement that just because their was narcotics squad there, that I believe they were holding a very large amount, is not the reason why I said there was. But then who knows who is telling me the truth or a bunch of lies. |
