Julie Timmons; My vote for DA would go to Mr. Gallegos if I could count on him to bring a lawsuit against the County of Humboldt for their inhumane treatment of homeless people on the streets. Constitutional law is not upheld in this county when it comes to the rights of every income level represented and the proof is in the availability of affordable housing for those in deep poverty and adequate mental health and addictions treatment.

Good lord another bleeding heart is heard from. Fact is the great majority of the "homeless" or bums as they should be called are doing exactly what they want to do. The county's budget is already top loaded to social services[54%] that there really is no reason for all the bums to roam the streets. As someone who has to deal with the after effects of these irresponsible, disrespectful, down right pigs everyday I have no compassion for them at all. Maybe if all of you that enable them by giving the beggars money would wake up and have to deal with what they leave behind[needles, feces, trash, clo thes, food] you might take a different approach to this dilemma. STOP THE ENABLING.

Dipstick enablers like you are the problem. Are you blind or just stupid thinking that the "bums" are only 2-3% of the homeless. First of all I am talking about HC and not the country. Maybe if you got out of your bubble and experienced these pigs you would think differently, DUDE!!!

Vote for Paul Gallegos. He makes medical meth legal in his jurisdiction. Paul knows no man in southern Humboldt should be denied the right to access and keep a loaded semi-automatic pistol simply because they are addicted to methamphetamine or marijuana. All drugs should be legalized. People sometimes accuse Gallegos of being the 'Humboldt Pot Pimp', but this is simply wrong. I have been to his fundraising parties and he is nice and cares about the little persons' rights.

Paul's input in this case shows us that he knows that there is more to the DA's job than prosecuting the traditional violent crimes.
Paul does it all!
Paul Gallegos has my support!

Lets get this right, he somehow managed to convict ONE cop, that everybody, including cops didn't care for, while letting his wife(a cop) off the hook for all her crimes, nothing for convictions anywhere else for cops in his entire career, and yet you want to vote for him?

Need a 'like' button for this. And lets not forget, the Hunzinger murder case would still be unsolved if above mentioned cops in Blue Lake had gone uninvestigated.

The Quigley case brings up so many emotions, but this cannot be the only reason to vote for someone. Obviously there was a plea deal after the evidence was reviewed. The public is not always privy to all the facts. I trust the DA's office to make sound decisions on the public behalf and not based on emotions. My heart goes out to the Quigley family, but after watching the debate, I will be voting for Paul. Oh, and by the way, I am a Republican..party affiliation should have nothing to do with the right person for the job.
