Fraud and theft at Eunice Hospital by Administrator

You'all hear about the $200,000 the administrator stole at Acadian Medical Center. Was in all the papers last week.

Butch Frazier is the CEO of the hospital. Did he oversee this administrators duties? Since this money was for scholarship programs what happens now? Do these students continue to get the scholarship money if they choose to work at this Eunice Hospital? Does that mean this hospital will not have the money now to encourage nurses and medical staff to sign on in rural areas? This was a way of getting competent staff here in a rural area. Are we going to loose the edge now that this money has been stolen?

I think that she was leaving or had left when Butch took over. So, I really do not see that any of this would fall on him. It would fall on the previous CEO Charlotte.

I am pretty sure that it is. She played on the hospitals baseball team that Charlotte gave permission for. At I believe it was the first baseball game of the season she talked about how many days/weeks she had left before she was going to her next job. The last game of the season Butch played in it and he had been at the hospital for a month or so......therefore I believe she left at maybe the same time as Charlotte. I asked a few nurses who were employed there at that time and who still are and they recollect the same thing. There was a lot that went on with the previous CEO that made a lot of people happy..... things with her were not as they appeared. Trust me.... I "actually" worked when she was there.

What's the real truth under all this?

I have no reason to lie. I don't receive any gain from. I am telling the honest truth from what I remember. If you don't believe me, then ask any other nurse who has been there for more than 3 years.

How long ago did this happen, was she charged with embezzlement?

My spouse works at the hospital and according to what they have told the staff there.... she had been doing this for many years....starting off with taking a little bit then more over time. She then worked at another job in which she continued the same thing.

Seems a little strange to me that "they" (whoever
they may be) would discuss such a thing with staff
members....However, this is Eunice after all, where strange things do happen!!!

Why is it that the hospital in Eunice always has a bad reputation? I guess when they built the new hospital they thought it would go away. What a fairy tale. Then that Dr David Ware was one of the people in charge of the recall against the mayor. Maybe bad Karma on the hospital since this fraud came after the recall failed. Food for Thought Dr Ware and Dr Matherne.
