Proposed city budget includes staff reductions "to lowest levels since 1980s"

Tonight, on February 22, 2012, City Manager Jon Ruiz will introduce to the Eugene Budget Committee a two-year strategy to achieve financial stability for the city and the community.
I think there is nothing wrong with operating on a budget. Its healthy for everyone to live within our means and the city should set an example to the county, state and school districts. Its not the end of the world.
