We will never have growth in Eugene as long as the liberals control Eugene. More bike paths and check cashing centers do not growth make.

ANd if anyone had the power to keep Hynix in Eugene, it was What's-her-name. But she and her cohorts made it clear from the day Hynix was put in they didn't want that business in town. So go figure. You liberals got exactly what you wanted. 1100 people out of work.

I am amazed at the obstructionist policies of the likes of Bonnie Bettman and Kitty Piercy. The city of Springfield is growing leaps and bounds over Eugene. Just take for example the new Sacred Heart Hospital along the McKenzie. Way to go Kitty, you just lost a ton of tax revenue to fix those roads!!! Eugene's economic policies are good at loosing jobs and tax revenue. I'm all for being a good steward of the environment, but come on, that can't be your only policy.

You can't just throw out ambiguous phrases like that and expect me to buy it. That may work on those weak minded, liberal tree-huggers who are always looking for the next catch phrase to cling to, but most normal people are a little more sophisticated than that.

I am a person who was leaning toward voting for Jim. But I've got to say after reading the remarks in this forum from those of you who are for Jim, I'm kinda sick. Is hate just a way of life for those on the right side of our politics. If Jim attracts the mentality that I'm reading on this forum, I'm truly scared for our city, country and world. I see very little "sophisitcation" in any of you normal people comments.
