Starting a new thread. The nursing home has earned one. What is going on over there? Word on the street has it the entire management has changed and Chipleys department heads are moving in to take over. Who's gonna run Chipley??? DEA and FBI are investigating missing narcotics. Good. Perhaps they will get to the truth. A drug addict does not need to be taking care of geriatric patients! They should drug test upon hiring anyway. Word also has it that the nurse who is doing the drug has a bad addiction, it needs to be addressed and she needs to be in Rehab. You know a normal person would not so blatantly take drugs, knowing they are going to get caught unless they have a serious drug problem. This girl needs help. I hope she reads this, go get help...

For starters anybody can pass a piss test whether you do drugs or not.... Especially with advance notice. HELLO.... Waste of time and money!

Unfortunately she is too busy getting hi and clocking in to read this. She is not going to come back to reality until someone snaps it into her or the narc box slams on her hand...Hopefully one or the other will happen soon.

I'm trying to follow the stories. Why is the story changing all of a sudden. I work at BNRC and the word is that a supervisor and another nurse were fired for stealing narcotics from EDK. And the police were called.

How true. At least they are not like BNRC and everytime drugs go missing they just look the other way and act like its not happening!

so now we are closing down and/or moving all of the residents on rehab to east and west wings. nurses/cnas are going to be laid off or floaters. apparently the census is down to 130 residents. THIS is exactly how terry brown will do away with the baylor shift that she so hates. i will take the year off with my unemployment check and make do...not a problem terry. in fact, THANKS.

well, they will only need one nurse and a couple cnas on rehab if they keep it open...so wondering about the rest of us nurses and cnas. they are moving residents as we speak to other halls. yeah, everyone was like i love terry brown, she is a wolf in sheeps clothing and i have known that all along. you can never expect people to treat you like you would treat them. it just doesn't work like that anymore. i will surely feel the loss in pay and quite frankly, there are not a lot of jobs out there right now. i have to work baylor/weekends. i do not have a choice in the matter. you can't get a straight answer from anyone there as to what is going on. but if you work on east or west wings, you are good to go. lucky you.

Thats not necessarly true. Some of Rehabs choice staff will make the cut and they will force staff from east and west with less tinar (especially less than 90 days) to go PRN and then weed them out. People will lose their jobs but dont worry, they will be hand picked. You can kiss baylor goodby real soon. Who said we'd be better off with Terry? Not me.

A lot of people there say how wonderful terry is because she will push a cart or work as a cna. I really don't understand what they do not like about baylor shift. it allows the stressed out weekday nurses and cnas to have their weekends and be with their families. some people have to work weekends for one reason or another. same with the weekday nurses, having to work the weekends say once a month or every other weekend would cause a stress for them as they do not have daycare. i don't know. it seems like i will never find a place to stay and work. always a new administration, new don, new this and that after that, i guess all nursing homes are alike. i don't like hospitals or home care. i get really attached to my people and want to stay at graaceville, but i am not going to be told take it or leave it either. damn, you know i do a really good job......i am so disgusted and wish i never became a nurse and knew something else to do. this whole situation is crazy. i wonder too when are they going to call me and let me know something???

Really though why can't we get a staight answer as to what is going to happen with our jobs. We have families who depend on us to pay the bills and buy groceries. Surely if the DON is a God fearing woman she will understand most of us can not afford to have our hours cut or use our pto time for no reason.. Please tell me she is not as cold hearted as it seems...

So who will make the cut I feel like allot of us are being put at a crossroads either choose their way or the hiway but I can't say I like the way she is doing this..

Your right to feel this way and I hope I'm not wrong, but I feel like Terry will not jump up and do something rash that effects her staff without proper notice. We will see what its all about soon enough. It may be nothing more than making rehab accomodate a low census (including weeding out some piss poor staff) and moving some folks around. Everybody needs to sit tight and not jump to conclusions. And I'm one of those staff nurse it may effect.....
