Yes, it is possible for a regular church goer to be evil. I just want to make that clear. Going to church does not prove that you are one of God's children. Being Saved does and no one knows whether a person is truly saved except for God and that person. There has been plenty of people who have went to church and done evil things, everything from lying to murder. It happens. I'm not trying to be mean but I am trying to answer your question. When it comes to Lonnie, maybe the devil was always in him or maybe he just let him in. Either way he did what he did to Heather and he shouldn't have done it.
