City police officers are required to carry their service weapons while off duty within city limits and can carry them at their own discretion outside the city, Guglielmi said.

even when they are drunk?

Zone1 we all suffer from stress does that give everyone the right to pull guns on people as they see fit? Or is it only right for the police to be able to pull guns on innocent civilians who did absolutely nothing wrong? What if would have shot the guy? Would that just be chalked up to stress?

Let's not start the "what if" game, in today's crazy world, I see two mistakes here, if he was intoxicated and took his daughter to a huanted house mistake # 1

If Mr. Chain saw Morrison took his act into the parking beyond the perceived boundries of the "scare zone", mistake # 2

Nobody got hurt, maybe some training time for both parties, as long as the cop wasn't driving, no harm no foul

Your an idiot. The one guy was just doing his job. The cop was abusing his power.

Ha Ha---at least this punk's name is in the paper. I hoe they laugh at him where he lives. Like this is the first time he did this. This is why people think you cops are a joke. Paid leave? He needs to get fired and sued. Yet another example of police thinking they can do anything they please.

The article didn't say he followed him into the parking area it said up the steps, but either way there is no excuse for him to pull a gun out. If you go to a haunted house people are gonna try to scare you, if you don't like it then don't go. And yes there is harm and foul in an intoxicated person pulling a firearm on somebody, If that was me that smelled of alcohol and pulled a gun on someone I would be in jail right now. So why isn't this man in jail.

Why is this story from Essex, MD (wherever that is) about a Balto. City cop in the York, PA newspaper? York is obsessed with being Balto. North. They allowed all the developments for Marylanders to move there and change the country character of the county. Now even their news is from Maryland. PA. should just give York Co. to MD. so all the Marylanders don't have to get their license plates, etc. changed and they can act like they still live there. True Pennsylvanians can move out to other areas like I thankfully did so many years ago.

PA lifer get a life. York about as close to Baltimore as Annapolis is. I'm sure you aren't very good at geography, but just because there is an imaginary line through the woods doesn't mean its like going to the moon. How many "PA lifer" work in MD? I'm sure more than there are MD transplants to PA.

Ah BURGOS, article states: "When the group exited into a parking lot, Janik pulled his gun and pointed it at Morrison from less than 10 feet away,...".
