I participated in the telephonic town hall meeting, or attempted to. I have no doubt that the decision to construct the new school has already been made and that the supposed opportunity for input is just window dressing. No amount of outcry or common sense will prevent the county from constructing this school.

Close all three schools and let the parents educate their own children. If they can afford expensive homes,second homes, expensive vacations, expensive cars--they can afford to educate their children. Save the public schools for the parents who really need them and get the other parents off the taxpayers back.
