The Libary is for to look up things in BOOKS but now people use computers more then books. Using computers for looking things in for books is ok but when it becomes personaly then it's time for it to stop. It's time to start makeing the public do there looking up things at home on computers instead of making the tax payers pay for this service for them at Libarys and they can do it at home and have to pay for the service like the rest do.If you don't have internet then it's time to catch up and get on board because this is what the WORLD is coming too so TAX PAYERS shouldn't have to boot this bill because everyone don't use the Libary service and we still have to pay for this services for someone else. It's time to get off the FREE BOAT AND RIDE ON YOUR OWN. Time is chageing so move on or get left behind IT'S LIFE.

Exactly my feelings! It is a criminal act to take my tax money and waste it by buying books for people too lazy to go to a bookstore or use the internet! It is as if the government is deliberately trying to put bookstores out of business, and using my money to do it!

I enjoy going to the public library. I do not mind spending my tax money for it.there are so many books to read and there are friendly people there to help me , if I need anything.
You know , Ben Franklin open up the very first public Library( just read that from a book I just checked out ).He thought it was important that everyone had a opportunity to be able to read and be self educated, for back then only the wealthy could offered books and be educated.
So the library is a very special place to be able to drink from the well of knowledge for everyone.
I just went to Barnes and Noble to buy a book ,that i read at the library and was amazed how much it cost.
I know where I live ,they have cut hours in operation of the library to save money and also they have asked volunteers to help.I encourage anyone who are retired or have some extra time to give back to this most important aspect of our democratic society( that what B. Franklin said)

It would be great to pay for if only books was being used but computers is mostly used not only for book reserach but mostly personally at tax payers cost. If you look around in the libary most everyone is on computers and check and see how many books get checked out anymore. They should put a charge for the use of the labrays all over and see what happens then.
