Diablo Café is an "interesting" business model: With a customer based on one-time on-vacation customers (being in a remote seasonal location), this restaurant allows itself with what I consider an unacceptable approach: Extremely high prices for the area, very high prices even by NY standards, ridiculously small portions of food (4 ounces Salmon, for example) hidden under a curly pumped-up strips of vegetables, with a mediocre to tasteless quality (my wife had a stomach problem all night long after the dinner), along with firm staff and non-flexible service. Very bad experience and wrong way to treat visitors to this beautiful part of the country.

I just ate there this weekend. It was not bad, not great, but undeserving of such a harsh critic. Perhaps a super sized hot dog and big gulp would have been more to your liking and price range.

Excellent menu and great mixture of flavors and textures. Large servings and didn't save enough room for their amazing display tray of homemade desserts. Excellent and friendly service. Enjoyed the tasty complementary tapas veggies and bread. Great margaritas! Definitely will tell all my friends!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in the Torry / Teasdale area and Cafe Diablo was a highlight for us. We live in a city known for good food (New Orleans) and I'd like to think we have pretty good taste when it comes to restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
