I visited this store a short time ago. Once you get past the elitist, pretentious atmosphere of this place, there is not much to it at all other than the overpriced, overhyped products they feature. It's also ridiculous how much space they use for how little they have for sale. Most of the people I say in there weren't even buying anything. They seemed like they were only there out of curiousity. I can't imagine this place doing that well in Erie.

Never heard of them; never been there. Based on comment 1 and 2, I looked at their web site, AND will visit too. The cheaper segment of Erie will profit WalMart EAST. Organic oriented folks pay for no antibiotics in animals (milk, dairy, meat) hold the pesticides please, free range chickens, and quality and freshness. You ARE what you eat. Comment 1 and 2 are made of bean dip for eyeballs. It is a local business. If Kraus Dept. Store can make it over Lowe's, these gals can make it in their niche too. Location surprised me as Mason Farms is nearby in summer/fall. I can't imagine them, selling against themselves. Maybe they have no organic to be a nuisance to F&M. But anyone in Erie knows this is a price conscious, cheap town, but has a segment that ONLY quality counts for them. They will buy; F&M will grow and harvest their dream of personal employment. Bonus?? You will never run into Dennis Weed at this spot. No Chef Boy-R-Dee, Spam, or Cheeze-Wiz (a Weed favorite!....hold the cheeze, just the wiz please) for growing Weed parts, like hatred, homophobia, porn, personal attack, and illness. He always wants to puke. Their web page. http://www.frankieandmay.com/about-us/the-con... Read up, then look around. Buy something...or WalMart is ALL you get left.

Chip and Muffy need a place to do their grocery shopping. God forbid they shop with the peasants at Giant Eagle. I was in there once and all I saw were self-important, snobby trophy wives all wearing riding boots and driving Escalades. Most people cannot afford to buy organic (which is a scam by the way)when they are trying to feed a family of 5 or 6. Good move bringing in Tom Hill though, he is a quality guy. They will last a little longer than most poorly thought out business ventures because the store is bankrolled by the family.

Speaking of elephants, I heard that Frankie and May is a supplier to the Elephant Bar restaurant on West 8th and Peninsula. They have a newly revamped organic menu, can't wait to check it out!

First line of my comment: "Hunger Games wrote: Never heard of them; NEVER BEEN there." You comment I am a snob.(but, i've NEVER BEEN there; we've never met). Your calculus to determine judgment on people is noted as faulty, flawed, and foolish. You comment you will have to deal with me, rather than Dennis Weed. TRUE. You are him. Since I have never been at F&M, your pseudonym elevates you to a higher caliber reader, and person than you deserve. Topix is cleaning up their forum. Writers like you are being removed, but you are so narcissist, and self-involved, you have yet to even notice the difference. Erie is a good place to live, and trying to recover. YOU add no value to that effort. Rethink,... in the few short years, we all have left on this planet....is THIS how you want to be remembered eternally...a Stu Pedaso? Look for the good in everything. You will be surprised at how much you find. Look for the evil, you will be NOT surprised at how much you find. However, since you are also Dennis Weed (among his 500 aliases or so), your comment is to be expected in the lower levels of writings here...as usual). Your "No thanks! to ever visiting this business encourages me. Since I WILL go, and you will not, life will be a pleasant experience, for me, there. And for those who believe the trend in organics is false, look at any regular shopping store and see the massive inclusions of organic. Our food is poison, as we go global, and procure by varying standards of pesticide acceptance. Support local businesses.

"Hey snobbish A-hole" by Stu Pedaso You have me confused with your other friends. "You say you support local business but you have never been there??" Yeah, Stu Pedaso. I do support local business, and I have never been to F&M" You conclude this is hypocrisy. (I do not know why you bring "lib" into the comment, when ALL sides have hypocrisy and liars within. It is not unique to leftist or far right, but to human beings, so cut the "lib" inferences. As hate leaves your views, you will feel better, and be a quality contributor here). In reality, your conclusions remain faulty as always. I have not been to F&M, because I did not know they exist, nor where. But I will go, and also support other local businesses. THEY are US! I have viewed a few of your posts and learned three things; 1) you do not go by one name; your Dennis.(among other Dennis names). 2) you have a tendency to tear down, rather than build up...a Weed skill, to Whack away. 3) you must always have the last voice in all matters. I know why. But that takes us into the area of tear down, rather than build up on this forum, out of respect for this community. We can ALL do better. Accordingly, I wish you well.

Alberta wrote: Do they have Wildrose teabags? They may, Alberta. Use the Contact info at their web site and ask directly. I encourage you to buy from our local spot. They are building, from what I read. If you can not find the tea there, Google Republic of Tea, and use their myriad drop down boxes to find just about any kind of tea globally. They have a section on "Fair Trade" that pays a human what they deserve for their work. Fair Trade Tea costs more, but part of the enjoyment in sipping your favorite tea, is knowing you spent time on Earth, improving someone else's life, by your choice to support their work in a small way. But please check Frankie and May first.(Link above) Republic of Tea here; http://www.republicoftea.com/fair-trade-certi... That is the "Fair Trade" page. Go to Home and view drop down boxes one anything you desire. Wegman's stocks some of these locally at my request. I will mention your favorite style to stock at F&M when I go there. Good luck to you from Erie, PA this day!

By the way dope; every new name posted in Erie is given an Painseville Oh origin. Try it, you'll see your theory holds no water. Catch the new Who if you can Bozo!

They will last a little longer than most poorly thought out business ventures because the store is bankrolled by the family. Tom was a good move in their behalf, he had a loyal clientele. Not too mention the 1 owner Amy Kern = Curtze ownership. Curtze isn't the most honest out there, I remember Union Station was buying fresh fish from them. It was colored to look like ahi tuna & it was a fish that wasn't even remotely close but had a similar texture.
