those townhomes are unbelievable... really unbelievable, like a bad hallucination. What fool in their right mind would even consider buying something constructed of dunnage and built in the ghetto...???

Who is that guy in the picture? Did Joe Sinnott lose 5 pounds and buy a new coat?

The authority's new leadership is confident in the future, but recognizes that the authority must change the way it has been doing business.

"They were not taking in as much money as they were spending," Green said.

"That's a problem."

Duh!!!!!!!!!

and how much do you get paid to make that revelation!!

What is truly amazing, is that almost all of what was contained in the article was discussed, on Topix, and discarded by those insisting on supporting the one party decision making in this town that leads to this kind of underperformance, over and over again. Erie truly deserves the recurring problems they constantly face. They simply don't listen, and are more than supportive of wasting other people's money, while at the same time demanding more.

Joe Sinnott destroyed the redevelopment agency by appointing a bunch of idiots to the board including a high school pal, a business partner of his brother, and a cousin. Then they hire this Green broad who doesn't have a clue.

Somebody at the Times is desperate to promote this woman. Question for a journalist is why? Why is this woman being hired and promoted without any qualifications or history of success? This is beyond cronyism.

2 more years of this crap and we'll have a new mayor. A long 2 years.

Not to be argumentative, but in Erie, the only way a mayor changes (Filippi excluded) is to run up against term limits.

I think you might underestimate how much people truly dislike Joe Sinnott. The Republicans should run a real candidate as an alternative although I do think several people will emerge as viable candidates on the Democratic side and knock Sinnott and his gang of fools out of there.

Right. He's in his second term, isn't that the limit?

No. Erie's limit is three terms, which equals 12 years. Started after Tullio.

Maybe, but I sincerely doubt it. I heard this same point of view prior to his last election, and we all saw how that turned out.
