Well, he's right, at least about the idea that delaying the adoption of the health care bill will despirit the Democratic voters (members of the Democratic party, not democratic voters which includes Republicans.) He's also in a tough spot. He's trying to do something he's convinced is good. He's acting in accordance with his beliefs. Would that more of us did so. What he is trying to do is good - he wants to help people who don't have health insurance. The problem is that it is reaching the point at which he may feel he has to do something - anything, rather than to figure out what the best thing or the right thing to do is. The American people are fickle and impatient. This situation has been proclaimed to be a crisis (with good reason? without good reason? that's not the issue) and as a result it must be resolved quickly or he'll lose his credibility and "our" good will.
