Has anyone seen the extravagant border patrol compound being built at the old commodore downs industrial park along I90?
Talk about big bucks being spent on unnecessary waste. It looks like the taxpayers are funding a very nice future for somebodys deep pockets.

You should be more concerned with how your local County Council wastes taxpayer dollars, the buffoon on a new County Exec, and the tax-evader that was newly elected to a seat on County Council.

It was already proven that Divecchio was a crook "Big Time" while he was in office. Read the papers and watch the news. He should have been fired and tried for his crimes!

Why didnt they just use the Armory Building at 350 East sixth Street? It isnt used by the military any more, it is a secured facility, it is located by the city police department, the Federal Building, and a few miles from the State Police in Lawrence Park. they could have spent a fraction of the money fixing up this building and make it central to operations.

Here's a suggestion; How about all the US military gets brought back to the USA and gets "deployed" here all across the USA and keeps all illegal aliens from entering this country.
And if they have proof that terrorists are in this country, then hunt them down.
I think that would make this a much more secure country.

First of all it’s a federal building and not coming from the local taxpayers pockets. So if you actually had a job it would have cost you 1/100th of a penny.
Second it’s like some of the PSP buildings, built to there specifications and rented or leased. Next time, do some research, before you make yourself look like a fool.

That dump need far more work than just a coat of paint. How old is that building, 100 yrs?
Did you see the heli-pad next to the new building? Where is there room for one down on at the old barracks?
How about state of the art electronics, not as easy to retro fit into an old building compared to new.

The old barracks would need far more work than what it’s worth investing.

Yeah ok the taxpayers arent funding this building complete with dormitory and helicopter pad. I guess the Obama stimulus money covered it right? Anyone believing we arent paying for this is a damn "FOOL"
Like I said the US military needs to be here protecting this country not the border patrol.
Sorry but I don't think Canadians are trying to infiltrate the USA.
Send these clowns to the mexican border to haul the mexicans back to the border.
The only fool is anyone like yourself buying into this ridiculus government spending. But maybe you thought the bailouts were the right thing to do also.
In tight economical times when 10% of the people are un-employed, building an extravagant compound for border patrol personnel along the shores of Lake Erie where we have 6 months of freezing cold temperatures is pure foolish waste of the "Taxpayers Money".

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Leo

A loved one is being rather tetchy today. It won't take much to get on their nerves, even if you think they're being grossly unfair about it. Try not to make the situation worse by being sarcastic or provocative. Instead, encourage them to tell you what's wrong but without raising their voice. Once you know what you've done to irritate them you can start to put it right.
