Win the war? How do you win an illegal and immoral invasion and occupation? Don't you remember Vietnam ? This is just more of the same.

"Hutto's position in the military informed his own views about the war in Iraq."

He was an outspoken anti-military activist before joining the Navy and after we were already at war. He certainly swore an oath to fight a war he did not agree with didn't he? Wonder why? Political ambitions Mr. Hutto?

The reason the money for "this war" is approved before a "healthcare for all" bill is because without our national security, nothing else matters!

Hutto is a traitor, he is using his service in the military as a sounding board. Before his service no one knew who he was. Your motives are obvious Mr. Hutto. Only the blind cannot see it.

http://chickenhawkexpress.blogspot.com/2006/1...

According to his own writings, Hutto "enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 2004" after "working at non-profit organizations and an unsuccessful stint at teaching 5th grade post graduating from Howard University in 1999." The non-profit organization Hutto worked for was Amnesty International - not your typical voluteer organization. In 2002, Hutto was Membership Program Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Amnesty International.

In 2001, Hutto was a speaker at The Fight against Police Violence: from Cincinnati to PG County, Maryland. Hutto's co-speaker at the event was Glova Scott of the Socialist Workers Party. The speech was posted on The Militant website. Hutto’s article, Rebuilding the GI Movement, appeared in Thomas Barton’s GI Special on the alBasrah Iraqi Resistance website.
Hutto described the military as “an institutional culture laced with discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation and geography.” He lauds “the movement of soldiers and sailors against the occupation of Vietnam was pivotal in ending U.S. Imperialist aggression against the Vietnamese people.”

Some people will buy anything ! How many times do you have to go over the lies and deception before some people believe it? This is the same mentality that the German people had with Hitler. Seig Heil ! I feel really bad for prople who can't acccept the facts and truth and plod along with simply flag waving and patriotic rhetoric. Your flag waving is blinding you to reality. Where are the WMDs? They can read license plates from our satellites. Do you really think that they didn't know they didn't have WMD? That is why they had to stop the inspections because they knew they would not find anything. They wanted the oil and that's it. They needed sheep to buy their simpleminded logic and apparently they got enough sheep to pull it off.

Major conflict of interest going on here. I am surpised that he has not been dealt with by the Navy. You are a soldier 24 hours a day and are expected to favorably represent your branch of service on what you consider to be your free time. Free to do whatever you please has restrictions and, consequently, risks. If you do not like the military policies, rules and regulations, get out.

His time off is his time off. You get 30 days leave time and they don't tell you what to do with your leave time. Representing the military does not mean becoming a robot. You can be a good soldier and still have a mind of your own. Robots will kill anyone anytime for anybody. I'd like to think that we have the ability to distinquish right from wrong. Shooting a combatant soldiers may be your job. Killing civilians is not. In war civilian deaths seem to be classified as collateral damage or whoops I shot a little kid sorry......... we now have another so called terrorist to deal with.

Wow... I'm surprised that people still support the war, and bash the troops who speak out against what they saw. I was there in 03-04. When we went in, we expected major WMD's. We were told they were there. They were not, nor were there traces. We found old 50 cal barrels, we found small arms, RPGs, old Russian radios, and alot of children who didn't understand why we had to yell at their parents and treat them like they weren't real humans.

After looking back at what we "had to do," I've realized that we have sinned against humanity with what we were told we "had to do."

The war reminds me of the crusades, one religion trying to rid the world of the other religion. Christians putting down the Muslims... that's not a very Christian thing to do in my mind. As a matter of fact, Christians supporting any war, makes as much sense as, well nothing.

If you support the war and the troops so much, you should spend one day a week at a facility that "takes care" of the wounded troops. See them as they look at the space where their legs used to be. Go and sit in on a meeting of troops who have the hidden damage of PTSD, and quit thinking they need to suck it up. Quit playing your video games acting like you've got unlimited lives, when a soldier dies he's dead forever.

SUPPORT YOUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME!

I must have given you the impression that I was in favor of the war since you talked about killing civilians and children. I hate the war in Iraq and everything Bush stands for. I voted in the last election, hoping my vote would make a difference. Unfortunately, it did not. Prior to that, the last time I voted was for John Anderson. Don't know if you are old enough to remember him or that election. The point I was trying to make is that, in my opinion, when he is out in public openly disagreeing with the action of the military and government, he is not shedding a favorable light on the military in which he is serving. Certainly he can disagree with the war, I just feel there is a conflict with how he is displaying it. By the way, I spent 9 years in the army during the Vietnam war, another war we had no business being in. I would not think about wearing the uniform by day and giving speeches by night opposing what I and my comrades were fighting for. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, we can agree to disagree on the way he demonstrates his unhappiness.

Thanks for speaking out after being there. I was in the army during Vietnam and had three friends die there and this seems like the same thing all over again. They lied us into the Vietnam war with the Gulf of Tonkin incident which we find out later never happenes. This war is the same. I'm saddened by the fact that they could still be having weapons inspections and not found anything and all of our soldiers and their civilians and soldiers would still be alive. My feeling is that they knew very well that they had no WMD and that is especially why they went in. This Cheney bunch is sick, check out his group the Project for a New American Century. Their goals were to increase defense spending which had begun to drop off after the cold war.Isn't this treason when he concocts a plethera of lies and decit to take us to war unnecessarily and then on top of it makes money on it with his investment holdings with Haliburton and Brown and Root? If that's not treasonous I don't know what is.
