Soap Lake Mayor Hovde and Police Chief Dorris Charged with Criminal Racketeering and Fraud

Jan 27, 2010 Full story: Associated Content 14

There seems to be a lot of unethical, immoral, and illicit actions, inactions, negligence, sexual harassment of young teenage girls, cover ups, and accidental failures to write up and take legal actions on matters of grave concern in the City of Soap Lake, run by a City Council asleep at the wheel, and employees who are now knee deep in conflicts ...

It's a shame that the people we vote for is doing these things. We need good people to help us, because there is a lot of gangs and drugs in this town and it needs cleand up. But if we have the two most imporant people in this town doing what there doing we need to get reed of them and get some one that will do the job right.

This has been going on way back when Woods and Stokoe were chief of police. In the past I have made complaints to stokoe about officer downy and stokoe through my report in the garbage. People in lakeview and soap lake need to protect not only yourselves but your children as well. The gangs and drugs are really bad and the gangs and druggies are out robbing houses, car prowls no one is safe. You cannot trust even the police to help us because they are involved.

you are a bunch of idiots. You think you can make up shit and lobby to make it real. But Guess what John Young or whoever you said your name was, I know who you really are and your propaganda and scare tactics aren't going to persuade anyone. If you come on my property or approach me again you'll end up flat on your ass you little bitch. Stay off Juniper Street or pay the price.

According to a source close to the Washinton State Water Department, an investigation is being launched into why Mayor Hovde ordered the water meter pulled out at 117 North Fern Street when there was a credit balance on the bill and water department account for $7.88. The Washington State Attorney General is also being advised and looking into why the Mayor formed a corporation and bought the house and how Stewart Title was able to provide title insurance when a lis pendens still rests against the property.

It's a real shame when nut cases like Gabe and Mike can post this kind of crap on-line as if it were truth when it's nothing more than a paranoid pipe dream derived from cheap dope. Those who actually know "roboblogger", "Committee to Elect Mayor", "Penny King", "Alex Gabor", Gabriel Acs, and Mike Power know what true nut cases and convicted criminals they really are. If you're going to buy into this garbage, check your sources carefully before you decide who you are willing to align yourselves with.

It is wrong for people for to attach Jim Dorris for whis updstanding job. He us under the thumb of the major. If anyone is guilty it is the mayor. Jom Dorris has done an good job with the resources he has been given. Maybe you should have the actual facts before blaming the chief of police. Come on people, think before you state something you know nothing about.

Soap Lake has always been corupt. They just got caught. Soap Lake should be disbanded and turned back over to the county, just like lakeview. The cops here are worthless, never answer their phone you have to call the sheriff if you need help, because the local cops never show up. Also where's the money that was given to Soap Lake by the federal goverment to pave all the dirt roads at the south end of town, and this is from a former higher up city employee. But they sure had the money to store that stupid lava lamp in Ephrata for 600.per month without asking the taxpayers of Soap Lake, and to build Hovde a golf course. If I knew twenty some years ago what I know now I never would have bought property or moved to this rat hole.

The original article was posted at Associated Content and was removed when Yahoo bought the company from Luke. Now Mike Power's and the cases against Gabor have either been dropped or are being reopened due to false evidence given by Dorris to the Courts under penalties of perjury. This story unfolds like a fresh look at Blazing Saddles in Modern Times.

I bought a house here before coming back here, because in my mind it was a very beautiful town when I was a boy through my teenage years. When I arrived with my realtor, I asked what happened to this town. She told me it was time and the government in place. I stated how I would love to see it again in its glory how it was when I was younger this would be a good place to run for Mayor and fix up this town.
If there is an opening for mayor I would love the chance to run and I would work for the city and the people for way less than others in the past just to clean up soap lake and the area and make it a place for family’s to visit again in the summer and for local family’s and business to feel safe with in their town
