the enterprise bulldogs defeated the stringwer red devils 26-12 to earn a number 3 seed and will travel to brookhaven friday night to play the loyd star hornets in the first round of the class 2A playoffs. this is believed to be the first time enterprise and loyd star will play football. in the game with stringwer enterprise had 375 total yards. roshawn johnson led enterprise with 200 yardson 22 carries and 3 TDS. zach bond had 69 yards on 18 carries. ryan moore had 5 yards on one carry and scored a TD. quarterback maxwell harmon was 2-0f-4 passing for 79 yards. dusty acreman caught one pass for 31 yards and dillion martin caught the other for 48 yards. A GLANCE AT LOYD STAR--loyd star is a senior-laden team with 15 seniors on their 44-player roster. they are led by senior QB joesph shelby, 6'2 190. the fullback is traderous wilson 5-1, 205. the tailback is marquis sims 5'9 150 jr. the halfback is marquis hayes 5'10 157. the offensive line consists of t.j. floyd at tight end 6'1 195,sr. cody teekel at center, 5'10 212 jr, clint scott 6'1 240 sr and ken britt 6'1 227 at guards and joesph fredenburg 6'1 238 jr. and trey reid 6'2 290 sr. at the tacklies. fred clark 5'10 158 sr. and mckinley hamilton 6'2 180 are the wideouts. on defense c.j. duckworth 6'3 180 and anthonty thompson 6'1 215 sr. are the ends and david fields 5'11 180, t.j. floyd 6'1 195 and travis sorrels are the linebackers. loyd star has a lot of speed with their senior fullback traderous wilson and their two running backs all being fast. loyd star's offense is a lot like enterprise's as they are run-oreinted. loyd star will run the ball utilizing theit 3 running backs but won't hesitate to throw it as they have several good wideouts. they have size on the line with every player being over 200 pounds. enterprise has to travel the 110 miles or so to brookhaven and beat a very good team. loyd star started the season with a 12-0 upset win over class 3A power franklin county. they have wins over 2 4A schools --richland, 35-0, and north pike, 26-20 as well as an overtime win at wesson, 27-21. they are 9-1 with their only loss coming to puckett, 42-17. BULLDOG BITS...roshawn johnson has 917 yards rushing this season and needs 87 more to reach 1,000 mark for the second straight year. roshawn rushed for 200 yards for the second time this year [his season and career high came earlier this year gainst union--253 yards.] in the shout out to the enterprise O-line is forgot to mention tight ends dillion martin and bo billelo. the blocking by the o-line is why enterprise is averaging 300 yards rushing a game.
