enterprise lost to the taylorsville tartars 35-21- friday night. a loss is a loss but at least enterprise played much better than they did last week. enterprise falls to 3-3 on the year. after winning their first 3 games enterprise has lost 3 straight games. a lot of that has to do with the injury to star running back roshawn johnson. this week enterprise travels to mize for its second region game. mize is coming of 2 losses on the road to bigger schools--a 20-12 loss to class 4A magee and a 21-20 triple overtime loss to class 3A mcluaran. mize is powered by junior QB davin burch and senior WR chavez sims. burch is one of the state's top juniors at quarterback. he has already thrown about 18 TD passes this year. sims is a D-1 prospect at a great athelete. he was named first team all-state at wide reciever. mize also has defensive lineman terrance barnes, another potential D-1 prospect. this will be a tough game for enterprise. if roshawn johnson is healthy and can go, i think enterprise will win. enterprise found to new offensive stars in last week's game in senior freddie sumrall and junior john king. freddie scored on a 45-yard run and king scored on a 25-yard run. enterprise was down 28-7 at halftime but came back and outscored taylorsville 14-7 in the second half. enterprise needs to play better defensively. they have been giving up a lot of points in their last four games. the only game enterprise has played consistently was the clarkdale game. i don't count lake because they are such a bad team. this will be a tough game. enterprise almost certainly has to win this game to be assured one of the number 2 spot in the region. if roshawn is back i feel enterprise can and will win. mize is a good team but they are not as good as taylorsville or even north forrest. weather conditions could play a role in this game. rain and possible thunderstarms are forecast for tommorow night and if it's raining during the game that could neutralize mize's spread passing attack and give enterprise the advantage with its running game. if it's wet messy conditions and roshawn johnson and the other running backs, enterprise will win.

enterprise dropped its second region game fridat night to mize, 41-13. enterprise had another bad game and has now lost four straight. enterprise is now 3-4 and has fallen below .500. the one bright spot was tyler copeland. the senior scored both of enterprise's touchdowns on an 80-yard kickoff return and a 25-yard run. THE REGION PICTURE--now that enterprise has fallen to 0-2 in the egion the best senario enterprise can hope for now is to finish in third place. if enterprise does make the playofss--and because enterprise plays in a four team region region 7-2A, enterprise only has to win one game to make the playoffs, enterprise would most likely have to travel to either puckett or loyd star. puckett is one of the top 2A teams in the state and loyd star is undefeated and ranked in the top ten. pucket will travel to loyd star friday night in a huge game. it looks like those two teams will finish 1-2 in region 6-2A and enterprise will be traveling to one of the two during the first week of the playoffs. now on to enterprise's game with st. andrew's. this is a non-region game with st. andrew's being a class 3A school. enterprise makes the long road trip to ridgeland friday night to take on the saints. enterprise and st. andrew's have only played once before, i the second round of the 2007 2A playoffs where enterprise won 28-14. st. andrew's has some big lineman and some tall recievers. their main offensive weapons is sophomore quarterback drew rowell-6-foot-2, 210 lbs. in st. andrew's 30-24 loss to raliegh last week he threw to TD passes and scored on a 62-yard run. like enterprise, st. andrew's has had injury problems. their top running back, charlie scott, a 6'1, 215 pound junior ,has been out as has theirtop lineman william crusp[6'5, 260.] this game could go either way. enterprise hasn't been playing well lately.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
