Judged: 1 BAD example. They use real alcohol for communion and approve of drinking it at home. |

hey lau & Big Rig Driver What do the two of you do
behind closed doors. Maybe, big rig driver, you drink while you drive that rig. Like I have said before, the church needs to but out. I'm all for gambling. It's my money and no one else has given it to me. I do not approve of dog tracks because of the inhumane treatment of the animals. If only you knew what they do to them. |

Judged: 2 1 Its NOT YOUR money when you win it. It is just money you did NOT EARN. I work for a living and is all you need to do unless you want to be homeless. You think Alabama wants MORE homeless in Alabama??? |

Big Rig Driver: Get off your high horse. I've
worked for 48 years and don't ever say it was not money earned, whether I work for it or not. I've put enough money into this country and still am. If you think you will never be homeless because you work, think again. Everything you are working for can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye and you won't even have your rig to live in. |

Proud Charger: You are so on the mark!!! Every discussion so quickly gets off the topic with religion, race, northeners and O'Bama. Does it really matter what religion you are, what your race is, where your from or who you voted for? I think not. We are citizens of the U.S.A., where this country was founded with the blood, sweat and tears of Irish, German, Scottish, Italian, Jewish,
Blacks, etc. I'm sure you bashers didn't hatch out of an egg. You had to come from someone. If not get in your UFO and get off this planet. |

I would much rather go to a casino on a Sunday than a silly church.
It's not something that needs a vote. I don't want a bunch of clueless bible-thumpers deciding what I can or can't do. |

We're not keeping you from going elsewhere to do whatever you want... Vegas may be the place for you. Almost everything is legal there. Need help packing??? |

Judged: 1 1 1 I came out way ahead on slot machines, won $1,500 one time. Most things are easy to get, but it's hard to find good weed. |

In light of what's going on in High Schools and now colleges, aren't we gambling with the lives of our children? If gambling in Alabama is illegal, fix this problem. I'll wager a fair amount if there is a chance of winning. Of course I would like a quick return instead of installments over 20 years.

When the idea of lottery came up, Alabama said NO WAY, it's terrible, it causes problems, etc... So Tennessee got lottery tickets, they also got Alabama citizen's money that could have gone to our schools, taxes, roads and revenue. The same thing goes for Mississippi, how many people do you know that go to Tunica to spend their money, and from what I've seen, the area near the casinos is a nice and newer area. I think the people should be able to vote, but I'm not sure it will help because you will always have the people that don't want it here, but want to drive to Tunica or Tennessee to spend their money. To each their own and whether or not you believe gambling is "right" or "wrong" I think it's about time we see for ourselves if it brings money to the state or not. There will always be problems and every state will always need more money, but hey, who doesn't right? I feel as though it could really help our state and we should be able to decide if we want to take that chance.

I totally agree with you!! You are so right on this. People should make their own choices, and if someone chooses to over indulge themselves in something, they will do it with one thing or another. If people are taking care of their responsibilities, they aren't going to just stop and change their life to gamble. You have to be open minded about things or you don't get very far in life. |

The idea that the State can legislate morality is a denial of the constitutional rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, or freedom of or from religion for that matter...there is already legal gambling in Alabama and like they say, in for a penny, in for a pound...
