Celestine is very small. I am not sure if this group of kids are the same group of kids at a party in celstine the previous night where a teenage boy was found dead in a pond. I can't imagine these kids are from Celestine. I am guessing most of them are from Jasper, if not all of them.

There is not a lot to do here for these teenage kids. Not to mention, most of these kids are pressured to get the best grades by their parents, the school faults them for one screw up, and the police hound them smoking. They have to be the best of the best. There have been several kids from this area commit suicide because of this. So I am not surprised that these kids are out drinking. Thereis nothing else for them to do. There is a bar on every corner and a church across from the bars. Well, maybe not this bad, but if kids had some sort of place to hang out, there might be less drinking.

The boy that died was a very good friend of his. He is well lked by all of his class mates. He worked part time with two of my kids and he was going to graduate in a week from the day he went mssing. I wonder if these kids were partying there as a way of a tribute to him.
