Tate Donovan taps Irish roots in a Good Peoplea

"Lace curtain Irish" is an acid-tipped verbal dart when it zips from the mouth of Frances McDormand's character, Margie, and hits Tate Donovan, as Mike, in the Broadway play "Good People." Margie, bitter and unemployed, is stuck in Southie, a hardscrabble Boston neighborhood.

Donovan has class, a peculiar one he doesn't intimidate. His personality in acting makes us know his decency leaves us seeking it out from other people or performers, and, you want to watch him again. You can say he is one of a kind whom you can admit is likable, unpretentious.

I googled Tate Donovan. He's a guy that learned the ways of Hollywood. He came to acting as a bull and left a tamed man. He learned the arrogant get their nuts handed to them in a bowl of grape nuts. I think he learned to appreciate roles, take what you can get, and don't think you are bigger than "The Show"..
