Nothing being debated in Washington would give the government the decision when to stop care for the elderly. Critics have twisted a provision in a House bill that would direct Medicare to pay for counseling sessions about end-of-life care, living wills, hospices and the like if a patient wants such consultations with a doctor. They have said, incorrectly, that the elderly would be required to have these sessions.

The bill would prohibit coverage of counseling that presents suicide or assisted suicide as an option. End-of-life counseling sessions are a voluntary benefit, strictly between doctor and patient, and it is "nuts" to think death panels are looming or euthanasia is part of the equation.

This is about helping people live with the diagnosis the doctor has given. This study reflects on what kind of support people deserve when they're dying.

These idiots dont care about what the bill really says, they are having to much fun doing the Fox News cheer.
You could prove it to them in black and white and it wouldnt matter.
The most ironic thing about this whole "death panel" horse crap is that the paragraph that they said would give Obama the right to decide who lives or dies was COPIED WORD FOR WORD out of the Republicans last health car proposal package.
So not only is it not about death panels, its a Republican policy element in the first place.
What absolute losers these people are. Its no wonder this country is in such a mess. We're surrounded by morons.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Virgo

You're struggling to get everything finished in time today, making you feel fractious and tired. At some point you may have to take a pragmatic decision about which tasks must be completed today and which will have to be postponed until another day. Do your best to keep things in proportion otherwise you'll waste time in trivial details and needless nit-picking.
