What fine young men live in Lincoln County. I am sure their parents are proud of the sons they raised. I would love for any of these gentlemen to be my neighbor. I am
sure they would have no problem with a job in a Fire Department in a larger city. Congratulions to these young men on their quick and unselfish response. May God Bless them.

It's a good thing these guy's stay up all night watching the city. They are like vampire heros.

would like to say thanks to these fine genleman who did the right thing when it counted. Very few people would put themselves in harm's way and other's would probably just watch. I am proud of these guys and they have my support if they ever need anything.

Cant help but wonder if the shallow people who want to put these guys down are secretly jealous of them. Jealous because they know that they themselves would not have had the guts or willingness to do what they did. I also wonder if these gutless wonders who consider themselves to be worth listening to, would be as mouthy if it had been them or their loved ones these guys cared enough to save? Great Job guys! Actions speak louder than words and your actions speak much louder than some of the pitiful people posting in this thread. Once again, GREAT JOB!!

Nobody is bothering you MEZ. You just voluntairly feel compelled to be nasty when given an opportunity. And Topix provides you with that opportunity but nobody is forcing you to comment. If you still have a license to drive, you should remember your words in here next time you are tired and accidentally leave something on in your car. You should also consider yourself lucky if you discover your dead battery when attempting a routine drive and not an unplanned run for the emergency room. The fire was accidental and unintended while the actions of these young men were voluntary and intentional. End of that story. The jealousy comes into play when gutless wonders lay in bed at night and know in their heart of hearts that they would not have had the balls to do what these guys did. It dosent matter what they say out loud for others to hear, when they are alone with themselves and dont like what they see, they very often lash out at others in a way that makes themselves look better than they really are. Topix also provides that opportunity. Just like everybody else who posts in here, your words speak for themselves and its up to the readers to decide if your words are hogwash or have merit. As I said before, actions speak louder than words and the actions of these guys spoke volumes. In your case, your action is the words you post in here and my thoughts about YOUR actions are simple. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Focusing on what caused the fire takes away from the fact that these men were willing to put their own lives in jeopardy to save the lives of others.
We are imperfect people in an imperfect world. Does one's mistakes make their live less valuable than anyone else? Are they not redeemable?

Yes, drugs are a problem EVERYWHERE! So are gangs, alcohol, and many other things.

What I tried and obviously failed to point out, is that every human being was created for and by God. If God loves everyone despite their faults shouldn't we (in our own imperfection) follow His example and do as we are commanded:

these people were about to burn down a complex that housed children, and they were out for their own fun snorting, and whatever else is available that is what got me its rediculous and i am thankful for the heros because someone could of lost their life just what if it would of been the kids next door. thats all im saying the girl patrisha is known for that crap and so is dominic vega. and im not asking for everyone to be perfect but atleast respect your neighbor and their children so im not being sarcastic just what if it would of been my children and myself.

If someone is addicted to drugs do they really stop to think about such things as respect? Seems to me it would be hard to respect others if you don't even respect yourself!

Was there proof that the fire was connected with drug use? If so, have there been any arrests made?

I know that our prison system is over crowded (a fact that in and of itself is alarming) so why aren't those who "manage" our tax dollars coming up with solutions that will better resolve our nation's drug/alcohol problems?

Thats cold and uncalled for wsa. The people in the apartments, including the kids, lost most of their clothes to water and smoke damege.
