I might be able to support this person if he hadn't denied help several times BEFORE his wife and kids were swept away. Instead they sang praise songs and prayed while their van filled up with water. How sad.

Just saw this guy on ch.4,
Pathetic!
Guess god didn't love his wife and kids as much as he thought.
These kind of religious people are sick, sad, lost.
There Is No God.
Why is their god so mean to them?

If you can't see that he is praying all the way to the BANK then you are blind...
This guy creeps me out. My GAYDAR is off the charts with this one...

I remember this and it was an incredibly sad, random story.

I totally agree with Sue, MDLQ and Mike on this one. What a nut case. I just feel awful for that poor woman and her children who were no doubt brainwashed by this creep. Religion and spirituality are one thing, but praying in lieu of accepting or seeking help is a perfect example of religious extremism and neglect.(Much like the Misty Horner case, the woman and baby who died after a home birth because the cop husband told her if god wanted them to live he would heal them.)

Not to mention how quickly he was able to move on, remarry and have children. Seriously? This whole thing makes me uneasy.
