East Penn board may pull back job offer

Wow does this make the new superintendent look bad. He was just hired a few months ago and recommends a morally and ethically bankrupt and criminal to be hired. Better look at your hiring practices. What a joke that they would recommend this clown for a job that pays $95,000 and is in charge of a $1 million plus technology budget. Look at all the holes in his baclground. He must be one heckuva a liar to land the job - or was this just another backroom deal made to give someone a job.

It's a slap in the face to the folks who have experience in EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY in school districts that applied and interviewed for the position and were not the top candidates. That makes sense, bring in some moron who feel for an email scam - what kind of IT Professional is this?!?!?!

It would be an outrage and an insult to hire this man,and at a salary of $95K a year,as a further insult.
In East Penn schools,parents who wish to volunteer for something as brief and in plain view of a teacher,HAVE TO fill out an affidavit at the office and have it notarized.
It asks a legnthy list of offenses one may have been convicted of.
It says on the bottom that "under penalty of punishment" and you have to have it notarized.It basically also states that if you volunteer more than ten times,you are required to get a full background check(finger prints,FBI & another criminal history) at YOUR expense to the tune of $68.00.
But because this POS has been in the military,he ought to be given a free pass.BULLCRAP!
I served in the military as did several members of my family.
Where's MY free pass?

Back when I was in the military,they did random drug tests and guess what?
Several persons,in very sensitive positions or positions of authority were outted.
The ones closest to being discharged or who accepted an early discharge were only reprimanded and it didn't go on their premanent record.
Who knows what shenanigans this creep got away with in the military.If in fact he ever was in the service.
He's such a LIAR claiming to have jobs he never held,writes checks for money he doesn't have.How many other dirty secrets does he have tucked away in his life?

First there is nothing more disgusting than someone who lies/claims credit for something they did in the Military. To ask folks to hire him while he is waving the flag is just sick. I served over 20 years as well as others that have posted. There are more holes in his story than just the bad check. There is NO military person with half a brain that would have a check bounce and not run to take care of it especially given the police called him. To then understand what this person was going to be responsible for as well as what files he would have access to is just mind boggling? Is there anyone asking questions of the Superintendent and HR Director?

Hey East Penn Mother NO this POS does not deserve a free ride. However, someone still needs to ask who did the interview? Also he does not show up on any search of Army records so when did he actually serve ss the Chief of Information OH that's right the reporter said the Army said NEVER!

This is hysterical on so many levels. First, the gullibility of the board as to his qualifications. Next, the lack of a background check prior to an offer. Then, to top it off, the candidate who is applying to be the IT director gives an excuse that he fell for one of the oldest internet scams in the book! And now he'd be in a position where data security is part of his job responsibilities and he can't even see a scam coming his way!! No wonder why our troops are bogged down in the mideast, if he's dumb enough to fall for that scam, who knows what wool was pulled over his eye's when he was the "CIO" of the Army!
