Was it the higher taxed working people or the lower taxed $5,000,000,000+ 1% who have every right to rebel against the SUGGESTION of an EQUAL tax rate on all income ABOVE 1,000,000?
The 1% should just pay a fair amount and stop taking their fustrations out on old glory.

The more ignoring laws, battling the police, vandalizing private and public property they do the more the alienate the people who would and should be on their side! The occupy crowd just lost all legitimacy with the common folk. By vandalizing city hall and burning the flag that stands for their 1st amendment rights, occupy have proven themselves to be criminals and thug anarchists that have a true agenda of destroying our city. I stand by my statements that for the most part Occupy demonstrations have NOT been violent! For the most part it's been those kerchiefed anarchist "any excuse for a riot" punks who have been causing the trouble and the damage. Show me specifically from Google or anywhere else where it says the MAJORITY or anywhere close to that has been violent! If you want to protest something you have to have a place to protest and it's perfectly acceptable to use public space (parks, etc.) to congregate and protest. The Tea Party has done the very same thing. This doesn't mean you can break rules about overnight camping or anything else of course and I have condemned that as well as the mindless vandalism, battling the police, etc. time and time again.

There is no evidence Obama or the Democrats are behind them even if individuals may make public statements supporting their right to protest and agreeing with their assertion that the rich are getting MUCH richer at the expense of the middle and lower classes and ought to pay their fair share of taxes. If those 314 million Americans don't understand the right to protest (and hopefully and rightfully condemn the violent behavior of a minority) that's unfortunate. I've expressed my feelings several times on various Topix threads that I deplore the violent behavior of the minority of these Occupier people, the anarchist thugs in particular. As a whole I don't think the Occupiers have accomplished anything more than give ammunition for the far right in the upcoming election in fact. Even if I disagree with their tactics I do strongly support their right to peacefully protest though and that goes for anybody else including the Tea Party. Some people seem to have a problem with that and want to demonize anybody who dares to disagree with them or their agenda. Blame it all on Obama, which in this case is ridiculous! When they get rude I'm going to get rude in return and express my opinion in any language I choose fit. Vitriolic rhetoric and name calling will get vitriolic rhetoric and name calling in return!
