It would appear someone within the Nurses Union negotiation team finally realized how the publics perception would easily be arrogant self centered medical workers and would completely shoot to hell any sympathy if they went on strike while everyone else is taking cuts in pay due to the economic recession!.

Nope Bunny......people are tired of the unions extortion and putting themselves before their communities and professional integrity. It is not the nurses fault it is the union leaders. Reduce health care costs...start with removing the unions and insurance companies.

Are they kidding, during a huge recession?
We need the tax-payer-supported community colleges to increase the nursing major until nursing costs free fall back to reality. Really, nursing is nothing so difficult to justify those salaries. |

We have the unions to thank for the 5:1 patient:nurses ratio. Nurses don't get burned-out as quickly, and we are all safer when we go to the hospital. Unfortunately, the unions sometimes overstep too. Thank goodness this strike was called-off! I hope the negotiations are win-win, and I hope the national dialogue leads us to some solutions too! I am proud of everyone who is rolling up their sleeves out there to come up with inroads towards good healthcare for all.
