Excitement Builds Over President's Trip to Lorain County

it makes me mad they close the schools because the president is coming to town so what! Life shouldnt stop because he is coming and I thought he supports education whats my son going to learn today? NOTHING!

No....you're looking at it all wrong! What he'll learn today is that whenever someone more important than him comes around, he MUST submit. YOU must submit. And be glad about it.

I just wish Everyone could understand the importance of the Health Care Bill. And sometimes, I wish some of those so against it could see or live what some of us go threw with NO insurance.(God Forebid they would have to ever live that Honestly its not easy)
Just to need med. and know its there but can not have it is pure HELL. Or to need to see a Dr. and have no money to pay and no insurance and be turned away. There are some Americans whom have never experienced this OR they would have a different out look on the Health Bill. And where or whom do they think the money comes from for Welfare. But even that I make $4.00 to much to recieve, so I would like one of the ones so against the Health Issue to please tell me HOW DO I GET TAKEN CARE OF IN THESE UNITED STATES? And Yes I am a American Citizen from OHIO!

There appear to be the folks who need the health care, such as yourself, and there are the folks who are expected to pay for your health care, such as myself and many of the regulars on these forums. While I personally don't begrudge your having health care, I don't want it to cost me more than mine does, and I don't want such bills shoved down my throat. Too few are working and paying to carry too many. idiobama does not understand this concept, but should get a lesson impated through Congress this November, and a more personal one in 2012

don't buy into the green jobs building rebuilding the economy. it's proven that they cannot provide enough jobs to even come close to the number of jobs that have been shipped overseas.

Well you could work part time at McDonalds and receive benefits. Instead of complaining about how terrible and unfair life is......DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Does the president realize the disruption that he causes a region by visiting? Schools are closing, businesses are closing, LCCC students are unable to get on campus to attend class, Route 57 is closed. Who is paying for the security? Next time, Mr. President, please stay in Washington.

I agree with the woman whos kid isnt in school today. Why should we the people of not only Elyria but the entire county of Lorain, OH keep our kids home from school, close businesses, and be in aww over a man who isnt even with reality. And excuse me "LADY" from FL, you have NO room to talk about the health care bill. BECAUSE IF THIS BILL PASSES THERE WILL BE OVER 1,500 PEOPLE OUT OF WORK HERE RIGHT OFF THE BAT! As you can see it will not affect you, but it will affect me, my neighbors, and my hometown! I dont think anyone except the residents of Lorain County know how disrupting this has been on the area. Can not even drive down to the store because the main road is closed. Mr. President, GO BACK TO WASHINGTON, and leave us alone. And by the way, to the people of Fox 8, Elyria is in North Central Ohio, not North East Ohio. GET IT RIGHT!!! Its just like we are consitered a suburb when its convenient to you, and the rest of the time we are swept under the rug. And I am sick of that as well. SO GET IT RIGHT FROM NOW ON, WE ARE NORTH CENTRAL OHIO!

One of the obstacles to creating jobs, jobs, jobs is the current exorbitant cost of healthcare in our predatory healthcare system. Maintaining the status quo on that ALSO maintains the status quo on job creation. Remember that come November, you're out of your job, and the GOP is asking your help in throwing out those rascals... who were working FOR healthcare reform and FOR job creation.
