They are made up of bleeding hearts and people with agendas, usually involving lawsuits, etc. for their poor, mistreated significant others in prison. And the ACLU -- well, everyone knows what a bunch of s***stirrers they are. I should know: many years ago, I was briefly a member. That you for responding so candidly. I understand that what you are saying is true for what has been in the past and to some degree present and future. But times are changing, and I have worked as a teacher in detention facilities, and am not a bleeding heart, and maybe if others constructively formed together to have a more balanced and uniformed representation as a citizen oversight board, it may move things forward. I recognize that one can have a love/hate relationship (emotionally) with organizations as the ACLU or Sierra Club, for example. Many people drive speeding hoping that a cop never tickets them, but when they are in crisis, they are appreciative that cop is there to protect them. What a planet!

You know, you clearly have no idea what the ACLU is all about, trust me they are the only organization that will go to bat for you when your rights are being taken advantage of, why piss on them what have they ever done wrong, can you name one!!

I have respect for all around me including those who do wrong. At least they ADMIT to doing wrong. I'm glad I'm not American. Land of the free? BS!!! then get out of this dammed country and go live in iraq for a year and see how much better it is here.
