He did it to himself and didn't take anyone with him. I call that a win-win.

I dont have any sympathy for anyone who stupid enough to run from the cops for any reason. The rider payed the ultimate price for something as simple as a speeding ticket. He put others on the freeway at risk as well by driving like an idiot at 150 mph. His frount tire blew out because he was not experienced enough to know that his tires were not rated to run at 150 mph. It is apparent he was not a good enough rider.

On a bald tire? Now thats just plain dumb. Its a good thing he did not kill anyone but himself. I take your word for it he was a "good guy" but he was not a very smart one.

Wow... how stupid can anyone be for trying to out run the cops at 150 miles an hour on bald tires? What a waste of a nice street bike!

Thank you to "someone who cares"....The family really appreciates your understanding.....My point of first writing the other message was that Floyd is dead and can not read what people wrote... but his Mother who is grieving his loss, can and other family and friends....We are all so thankful that his final mistake didn't hurt anyone else...FYI to "dead Man"...street bikes should not be able to go 240 miles per hour...and the bike is well and repairable......

There are no street legal bikes that can go 240 mph... What are you talking about?

If it was not a "street bike" then what was he driving? A moped? A dirtbike? You only have three choices here? The article says he was on a street bike doing 150 mph? Duhhhhh what? Your "point" makes no sense? Dude is dead, and there is nobody to blame but the guy going 150 mph on bald tires on a street bike. Duhhhhh...

A 2006 Suzuki 1300 is a fast bike. Its top speed is estimated at 193 mph. It will not go 240mph as Linda has stated. 193 mph on a street bike of this design should only be attempted by professional riders on a professional race track. The rider who died on this bike had no business doing 150 mph on I-5.

that is the motorcycle he had,...I stand corrected on the top speed...Floyd told us his bike would do 240 mph..which he said was because he had it "souped up"....and you are absolutely correct.. no one should be driving any mode of transportation, that fast...Floyd was on his way back home after visiting us family members...I wish he would have listened to our pleas for him to drive careful...He would have arrived Home safe.

What is the object of trying to point out how "stupid" he was ? He was enjoying himself on his bike and ended up suffering tragic consequences. I've seen a lot of motorcycle riders doing the same thing, cheating death . Sometimes they get through life unscathed, and sometimes..........

He did not involve anyone else in the crash, so it is pointless to malign this gentleman and say what could have happened.

Some people just like to say negative things, don't have it in them to simply say, May he rest in peace. The loved ones left behind are the ones to suffer for those non compassionate words.

Again, I pray for your comfort at this sad time.

He was enjoying himself on his bike? No he was breaking the law and trying to evade law enforcement. Most law breakers are "enjoying themselves" until they get caught or kill themselves or others. It was a stupid thing to do. Its not like he had an accident while obeying the laws of the road.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
