Is everyone missing the point that by driving erratically, she could've been in or caused an accident; she could've passed out, jumped a curb & hit a pedestrian? She dodged a bullet by being pulled over & should thank the cop who did. However, once her BAL registered 0.0 someone should've realized it was due to a medical condition.

Notice you're not from Long Island, but from Knucklehead, Penn.I dont know how your grandchildren would benefit from a diabetic mistakenly arrested for DWI, but we Long Islanders love to be put straight from you sophisticated non-New Yorkers, thanks for your insight!

Saw this coming, but I wonder why she still decided to drive if she was going into diabetic shock.

Un-fortunate that this happened, but,
Never operate any motor vehicle if your medical condition has limits, never drive when WARNED of problems when driving are on the Medicine lable.
Why should the County be ashamed, and be tortured like this Woman, she should have known better to operate a motor vehicle, she knows the symptoms of her disease.

what's wrong with you??- the county takes her photo off the Wall of Shame and you decide to self-righteously do more torture yourself and put her picture right back on the web - as what, a "public service"? You're some very sick piece of work pal - let the woman alone and let's put YOUR photo on a link. What a sicko

I agree post her pic because next time she might be driving next to you or at you, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Next time maybe she will kill someone.
Then she will lose all her money she gets from the county.

The "wall of shame" is nothing more than a ploy by Kathleen Rice to act tough because she is who;;y inept and incompetent. I think her photo should be posted on the wall of shame for perpetrating a major hoax on the residents of Nassau County. I can't wait to campaign for whoever runs against her. Likewise for our county executive.

This incident also highlights the incompetence of the Nassau PD. Rather than trying to ascertain whether this woman needed medical care, which she obviously did, the police just arrested her. Trust the police - I don't think so. Keep your guard up.

Just as bad as driving under an influence. Why is she allowed to have a license?

I feel sorry for her being ostracized by her picture in the wall of shame. The state should now remove her license because she has a malady that can cause her to get into an accident possibly causing her harm or harm to others. The bottom line she was going into hypoglycemia and didn't know it and didn't have that antidote or the knowledge she needed it.

No you are the idiot. If Nassau county and Newsady want to use the pictures of "alleged" drunk drivers. When they do it in error they should pay. You can't get your reputation back.

I am all for the WALL OF SHAME BUT No one should be put on the WALL OF SHAME until they are convicted. My husband blew his nose and lose his balance in a men's public restroom. The attendent called the police who in turn call ems but that time some balance came back and they released him.

"Sangermano, 50, was pulled over in Hempstead on May 23 at 9:12 p.m. after driving erratically on Franklin Street in Hempstead -- crossing double yellow lines, driving onto a sidewalk, veering into oncoming traffic and hitting two cars."

Agree
she could just as easily killed someone driving on the sidewalk and crossing the double yellow line
Your licence would be revoked if you have an epilepsy attack while driving.
She should be grateful someone stopped her from killing someone
She is still at fault

SORRY.....THE WALL OF SHAME SHOULD NOT POST NAMES & PHOTOS OF DEFENDANTS, UNTIL AFTER THEY ARE CONVICTED OF THE CRIME THEY ARE CHARGED WITH.....BUT IN THIS CASE.... I THINK THE WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING....BUT AGAIN HAS BROKEN NO LAWS.....THESE LAWS NEED TO BE CHANGED!!!!.....DIABETIC SHOCK & DRIVING DON'T MIX!!!
