If there are 5 different drilling options to reach the miners, all those options should have been started from the beginning. You don't wait for one drill hole to produce nothing before starting the next drilling objective. And, what sence does it make to tell everyone that they drilled and found a cavern which was 'survivable' when the miners weren't in that hole surviving. If they are somewhere else, this survival hole means nothing. Running your mouth with blabber is not the same thing as offering usable information.
