Maine Oxford Casino Initiative, Question 1
The measure calls for a casino in Oxford, Maine.
Do you want to allow a casino with table games and slot machines at a single site in Oxford County, subject to local approval, with part of the profits going to specific state, local and tribal programs?

Voteing no.. fair is fair last election the indian casino was voted down.. like wise I am in bangor and a Casino in oxford has no effect on me..

how far down will Maine have to go before we take steps to create good jobs? casinos don't cause problems. Ask anyone in Bangor where it's been for 5 years. NO problems. Just jobs taxes and economic benefits. if you don't like casinos, don't go. spend your money wherever you want. But Nov 2 Vote YES on 1 so a couple of thousand Mainers can find a job and start moving this State out of the welfare pool.

the oxford casino is giving millions to education in every community in Maine. that includes Bangor. every job created anywhere in Maine helps all Mainers. The Oxford casino would give the native Americans 4 Million dollars a year. That makes up for the money Penn National stole from them when Hollywood Slots killed high stakes bingo. |

just ask yourself. after every time the casino was voted down how many jobs where created in maine? answer 0 . whats it going to take for cape and port town yuppies to get it.

i live close to oxford,and i think the casino would definately boost economic growth in and around the area.i see less and less jobs available in this area and think this would be a great shot in the arm.also the closeast points from oxford for out of staters to get off the turnpike is lewiston or gray just think the traffic might be going right by your buisness or your neighbors.
