Simmons Grocery

I was in simmons store tonight. I waited in line for 20 min. and they had only checked 2 people out. I still had 5 in front that were waiting also. I finally just gave up and left. The service in that place sucks. Anybody else have this problem? They either need more employee's or better ones.

My mom used to work there,and she was the best thing that store ever seen... my sister also worked there and when it was her day off they called her and asked her to show up to work that day (her day off). She said that she couldn't make it in so they threatened to fire her... that place is sick in the head

I agree I hate to go in there unless u have 30 minutes or so to wait dont go in there.

Tom started losing my buisness when his pump did not kick off two different times and poured at least two or three gal on the ground. Good thing I was there washing windows both times

as far as speed at the register all I'll say is it's quicker than going to the Bluff (barely)

And I just won't use PineyWoods or The Store

What's your beef with them?

Not any one particular thing. Just don't care nothing about using either one

Lovely! I've already written off Piney Woods due to other people's complaints about them on here -- this sucks to hear this about Simmons, too. But at least it's not like they're doing anything unsanitary or being hateful or spiteful or mean, unlike Piney Woods. Still, whenever we're down that way visiting my wife's family, we may now very well have to go into town to The Store just to get gas or food...

you need to look at this time of the year. you have all the deer hunters buying tags.(which that a long process). for me I have to buy 5 which its a good 20 minute or so to get them all done. normally if people has a few items behing me, I just let them go ahead of me to keep the line short. also during deer season you'll have a big croud there buying beer, gas and food. they will be alot in town hunting. I Know that an excuss now but if its happening all the time, then I couldn't tell ya there. also maybe alot don't want to buy at piney woods. I don't go there much only due to having to pay for your gas before pumping after dark. half the time I want to fill up, but don't know how much its going to cost then having to walk back in again to get my change. this is what I think about it. there borrowing our money before our purchase and they should pay us interest. we have to pay interest at the bank. I don't know if anyone else see this or under stand, but its what I feel. I pay for my item when I get them not before I get it.

I do some business at Simmon's just because I really don't want to do it at Pineywoods.It is like this this all the time it takes way to long to get checked out and there is no where to set your items down. They really need another register or clean off some of the clutter on the counter so you can at least set your stuff down while waiting in line.

Yes.... their is some in there that r very slow, maybe that is there speed to do a good jub & make sure everyone is getting their, The Simmon's & the customer's, money right...i go in there almost everyday and i can say i like walking into a place that the cashiers call me by name & they are always polite... u won't find that at pineywoods. It's owners have said 1 to many times they don't need the local business all they want in there is the travelers...so i don't go somewhere i'm not wanted

you lost me there, but can relate to wanting to feel like a person ,not for just another buck. its nice when the cashier calls you by your name and tells you to have a great day. not very many places make you feel that way.
