haunted house

I read in the DAR that the Cheer Leaders were to have a haunted house this and next weekend. Since the school closed the later part of this week, is this still taking place?

Yes. I drove by there a little while ago and looks like they are open to me. They are having it, October 23, 24, 29,30, and 31. I think it opens at 6pm

The 'haunted house' you are speaking of has nothing to do with the school. The "cheerleaders" hosting the haunted house as a fund raiser are a non-school sponsored "traveling" competitive squad. Kind of like the traveling baseball and basketball teams that go all over competing. Has nothing to do with the school.

and where in ellsinore a basketball and baseball team that is not associated with the school

Not sure of the name of the squad. I just heard about it from some people I know up there. And as for the baseball or basketball teams, there are some boys up there that play on some of the traveling teams from Poplar Bluff or Piedmont. I don't know of any traveling teams "based" in Ellsinore.

The spookhouse was very good. Had to stand in line for over a hour, but it was worth the wait. Hope they have it next year. Only bad thing was, there was a girl working in the concession stand wearing a mask, saying she had Type A flu, but she was on Tamiflu. Needless to say, We didn't eat there.

She did have the flu but had been fever free for over 24 hours and only wore the mask as a precaution and to not be breathing the cold air.... And was just sitting in the concession to be a part of the fun but was not serving or touching the food.

It doesn't matter. She shouldn't have been there. We are all concerned about our kids safety, that's why school let out. She still has the germs.

And I guess you have an M.D. behind your name....? Still I don't think even the doctors know exactly what they are dealing with. You can talk to 5 different ones and get 5 different stories. If your doctor tells you you're ok after 24 hours with no fever are you supposed to not believe him? Who knows! And someone earlier posted that their pediatrician says wearing a mask does no good... So then why do they wear them in surgury and people with compromised immune systems wear them in pulic?

There is always someone in the crowd that can't stand to see anything good happen without trying to tear it down....

I agree, good grief. If you read any of these threads, that's what it is all about. People have found a new way to gossip and spread rumors about things that they have no factual knowledge. I don't even know why I keep reading this...I guess entertainment or boredom???

I don't read this very often but I read this one and got to wondering...why is it when someone starts talking sensible on here, the replies stop? "voice of reason" seems to have a clue (from reading some other threads--that is IF the others are indeed the same person) and all of a sudden, the replies stop...hmmmm looks like most people on here just want to argue.
