About 100 residents gathered to hear state regulators talk about hazardous air emissions from a $1.25 billion coal-fired power plant in Florence County proposed by state-owned utility Santee Cooper.

seems as if everyone is worried about the possible mercury from an electric generating plant. what about the cfl light bulbs that our esteemed congressmen have mandated that everyone use by 2012. the greenies are saying anything abut the mercury contamination in your home if one breaks. let'em build the power plant we don't want the lights to go out
