My grandpaw used to get money from crooked politicians, buying his vote(s). Didn't really matter as he was usually too drunk to know who he was voting for....

I'm not originally from here, but still from GA. I've met some VERY nice people here, and was married to a Waleskan, at one time. He's deceased, but I grew to love this area, and moved up here a few years ago.
I enjoy the native people. They are friendly, courteous, and they DO love their mountains! Talking with an older native couple, they hate seeing areas carved out of the mountains for stores, etc., but they do like not having to drive so far to get what they need and people to have jobs. They have lots to share with us, and I hope we share with them.
Ya'll have a great day!

In rural north Florida when the "possum" walked through the "quarters" before elections it was 1/2 pint of Lord Calvert per vote.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
