Eva is a long term resident of a Columbia nursing facility. Her octogenarian power of attorney recently wrote she could not account for funds affecting Eva.

Inquiries have since revealed funds designated for Eva were transferred with the aid of a nursing facility employee without the active participation of an attorney or power of attorney. The signature was obtained during a permanent mental disability and oncoming blindness.

Beneficiaries of these funds were the octogenarian herself, and her two children, Kathy from nearby Clarksville and Mark of Dallas TX. A family member previously gained a judgement against Mark for a significant financial shortcoming.

This affair shows how even the most prestigious of families have a larceny problem when it comes to the easy separation of assets from a vulnerable family after cultivating confidence over a period of time.

Well our octogenarian is nearing age ninety and obviously has other pressing concerns. When she writes to say she cannot account for funds we believe her.

Official records show some of the funds were transferred to her, personally as well as to Kathy and Mark. This type of activity fits well with Mark--- but with Kathy? Hmmm.

In my opinion it's an insatiable desire to gain other peoples funds by legal means with a total regard for morality--pure intellectual dishonesty, just taking full advantage. Low class people with a high class local reputation.

Max,
You should have known, why do you seem to be surprised? You knew Cathy long before she became so personable in Columbia-Clarksville.

Like many of our family Max just didn't know, hindsight always gives a better perspective. Most of us had no idea of Cathy scheming with her aged mother. As the matron of a leading Clarksville family who could have reasonably believed she would have risked being called a cheat for a couple hundred thousand dollars?

Word has it she is preparing a law suite against he cousin Charlie, but just last week Charlie said that was just an idle threat. And that she should wash her hands and "come clean".

That's true, I just couldn't believe Cathy could ever be involved, but a "couple of hundred thousand dollars" is more than mere pocket money. I had no good reason to believe Cathy would ever be involved in not doing what is proper, if only to preserve her reputation as the matron of a leading Clarksville family.

Don't be fooled! Cathy's aged mother is beyond scheming, her main concern was to have a conventional burial and not a cremation.

Charlie is the biggest crook. He holds a museum grade sewing machine, at least two antique watches as well as other items which he said were being held for Aunt Eva. He doesn't say that anymore.

Marcie had the nerve to say that if he didn't keep these items they would only be used to pay for Eva's nursing home care that is now free.

Cathy's mother did hire an attorney to recover funds Charlie used to purchase real estate. She suddenly dropped the matter but later she used a nursing home employee to transfer funds to herself, Cathy and Mark. Everything is really flakey, people are sharing funds previously assigned to Eva while Maryland taxpayers foot the bill for nursing care. To be clear Cathy's mother is merely a pawn, but Charlie is the biggest crook.

I am not a crook. While i do hold a antiques, i know in my heart they belong to Aunt Eva through an inheritance.

In a prior conversation Cathy said she knew nothing about the antiques, that I should just keep them and forget about the matter. Her mother in turn wrote to say i should return the antiques and as they were left to her.

I asked her to show the Will but she stated Cathy has "plenty of lawyer friends in Clarksville" and she will not show the Will, she also wrote that she could not account for estate funds.

I do not believe Cathy's immediate family is involved in this chicanery, except for her mother and ,of course, herself.

So how does that make me a crook?

Let's face it, Kathy tricked all of us with her bright smile and genial personality. When it comes to basics, in my opinion, she is she is merely a sneak with a smile.

That being said, I really don't believe Byron has had any part in in this matter .

These relatives gained power of attorney by default, with the unfortunate illness of Louise.

Yeah,
Kathy spent many years cultivating good family relationships which we now know was just a sham. In my opinion she's nothing but a black hearted sneak
which really became apparent when she used her POA to make communicating with Aunt Eva so difficult.

A bright smile can only go so far for a sneaky opportunist.

Of course Kathy is nothing but an opportunist. That was made clear when she attempted to isolate Aunt Eva from the family--but only after she gained control of Eva's property. What a sneak!

Well her mother was always on the slippery side of things, much like using an innocent nursing care employee to shift funds that were to be for Eva's benefit. Both are sneaks, not just Kathy.

I think we all agree Kathy is the bigger sneak, She took vulnerable Aunt Eva to an attorney to gain control of Eva's property. Only after she obtained confirmation that her agreement with Eva was "iron clad" did she mention the transfers to other family members. Where are the illustrious family members? How do tey feel that Kathy infers Eva may now be incompetent, but only after the transfer of funds and property?... TheSneak.

Does anyone know anything about an Oriental private investigator from the Baltimore area doing snooping here. When confronted,he said he was a Chinese college student trying to earn extra funds and was concerned this affair may cause him to lose his visa. I told him to go home and not be seen again..

Yeah. > Eva was OK before Kathy got hold of her property.. When is someone going down to Clarksville to try to clean up this mess? Is the Chinese investigator still in Austin? Right now I have more questions than answers. Please give more info!!!. Has Kathy's mother been able to account for the funds that are missing?
