Not to sound abrupt; but if the judge/jury/decision makers even think about allowing Heather Ciambrone to stand trial again there is something wrong with this court system. There would be something wrong with the federal system. What happened to whats right and wrong? The wrong should be punished fully in justice to the degree in which it was commited in. But thats just my opinion.

SHE NEVER WENT TO TRIAL IN THE FRIST PLACE. SHE NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO TELL HER SIDE. SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO SOMETHING MORE FAIR THEN WHAT HAPPENED TO HER IN THIS CASE, UNLESS YOU KNOW HER AND HAVE FOLLOWED THIS CASE SINCE DAY ONE WHICH I HAVE, ONE SHOULD NOT STAND IN JUDGEMENT OF HER. I FULLY AGREE WITH SOME ONE BEING PUNISHED FOR A CRIME THEY COMMIT, BUT EVERY ONE DESERVES A CHANCE TO DEFEND THEM SELF AND IN THIS CASE HEATHER CIAMBRONE DID NOT.

Heather Ciambrone deserves a trial to tell her side of the story and she will get just that. This was the case that showed me that the media can print whatever opinions the choose whether it be true or false and I am so glad I have never had to go through what this woman has had to endure in her life. I would bet money that Ms Preston enjoys voicing an opinion to which she has no inkling of this case.

The convicted father is serving a life sentence to which is justified. The mother was never convicted. The mother was given false information about her sentence to which the Supremem court agreed she deserves to have a fair trial. It's a shame that the foster care system DCF formerly HRS doesn't offer help to families in need. Once children are placed who need services they just tell these parents "It's your problem now" This mother repeatedly requested help for her disturbed self abusive child whom she fostered 2 years after the adoption and Everyone failed this child! Blame yourselves for his death and you know who you are.

I AM SO GLAD THAT jqp BROUGHT THAT FACT UP ABOUT THE FATHER IN THIS CASE AND ALSO THE PART HRS PLAYED IN THIS TRAGIC EVENT. THEY ( PARENTS )REPEATLY TRIED TO SUMMON HELP DAY AFTER DAY AND THEY WERE NOT GRANTED THE HELP THEY SO NEEDED FOR THIS CHILD, UNLESS YOU HAVE WALKED A MILE IN HER SHOES, LET HER TELL HER SIDE WITH OUT CONVICTION AND GIVE HER A CHANCE TO PROVE SHE WAS ALSO A VICTIM.

maybe you thought this opinion was bad... but it was what i thought. lets try to measure the difference from making a judgement on others to someone who has a "bad" opinion about someone else, the difference is none.

yea that is amazing to for you to think i was simply too young to know what really went on in that household.

I do believe that every human being has a right to defend themselves so and since my brother didn't have the chance i take the responceibily in doing so for him. dont ever tell me i was too young. i deal with it everyday when i wake up.
I just hope and pray that no child has to die the way Lucas Ciambrone had to.

May God have mercy on the children of America better yet all the children in the world.

That boy was something special to me. The only love I knew at the time. Especially when all he recieved was hate. I know no one stronger.

May God bless you all.

You know, Heather was always a bit weird in school, so when all this happened, I didn't know what to think, then I saw the pictures of Lucas's body...Both parents need to be in jail, you can't tell me that one of them was more responsible than the other. That child was placed there to be cared for, to be loved. The two of them Killed that boy. She isn't crazy, no mental hospital. She needs to be sentenced to life in prison with no possiblity of parole. EVER!!

I had the opportunity to work with one of the children that was in the home when Lucas was MURDERED. I know what happened and this woman should not be allowed to be free nor do I believe she should be cared for in a mental institute. What happened was deliberate. There is a lot more to the story than I've been able to find on line. What happened to Lucas was just a small part of what the rest of the children will have to deal with everyday for the rest of their lives. I can only hope that they have all found loving homes and are being given an opportunity to heal. You can't blame "The System" either. NO foster parent can be forced to keep a child they are not equipt to handle. There are other ways out. Murder should not have been their choice!

To the Social Service Worker of Franklin NC:
We adopted Lucas' and Brenda's youngest brother. Rest assured that he is with a loving and supportive family. We've been through a lot with him, and it's been well worth the fight. He struggles with his past, but the struggles seem far and in between. However, the new developments in the case will probably stir up some emotions he had hoped were behind him. I thank God for bringing him to us. I feel God will use him and Brenda to help others in need one day in an extraordinary way!
