I really hope that this is resolved with the best attention and investigating available. Considering, this is 1st time with death to this nature in this city since I believe 2000, I would exspect the investigating people involved, would have all the more time and practice to invest in putting this case to its closure. By the way, Lonnie Short, this victim is my full blooded brother, and I love and miss him very much. Anthony

This crushed me. Lonnie and I dated and lived together for 2 years and I am so sad that his passing was this tragic. Lonnie was struggling to come up in this world, and he was often misunderstood. He was a kind, gentle, funny, caring individual.....and this is way to sudden. I only hope this mystery is solved..truly sad.

POMInnocences is an idiot, he has no right to bash Lonnie's friends he's been my best friend since I was 10. The only true friend I've ever had. And one thing I know very well is that he appreciated each and everyone of his friends. I've been devistated by his passing. I think about him everyday and miss him very much. -Justin

Hi Christy, I am soooo very sorry for your loss. I'm not sure if this is the same Lonnie that I know and love and with everything in me I'm hoping that this isn't where my search for him ends. If it is than we may have met. We would have met you at Golden gardens park when my family was gathered and we coincidentally ran into Lonnie. We accepted Lonnie as part of our family since he was about 8yrs. He comes and goes, and we never knew how to find him, but he always manages to come back to us. But, this time was too long and I started my search for him and found this horrible story. If the email address listed above for you is correct, I would like to talk with you. Thank you...

Still missing you like it was yesterday- I hate this month- every year since you've been gone. I love you still today as much as yesterday- if not more as every day has passed. RIP Lonnie
