Peryea showed no remorse for killing Brandon Dunlavey. He deserves what he gets.

Were you there? If not don't say something and pretend it is a fact. I don't agree with what Peryea did, however, the female that was driving the vehicle Dunlavey was in had drugs in her system. Had Peryea not had a prior DWI, I would be willing to bet that both would have been charged. It is too bad that the kid died, but when you smoke drugs and then drive, you are just as reckless and careless as someone who drinks then drives. There is not good outcome in this situation, you say Brandon won? How so? His life was taken from him... there is no winner in this case.

Reply to the man above... I was there during the whole trial. Charles Peryea, showed NO remorse for killing my son. Yes the driver had smoked a joint 4 hours prior to Peryea's car colliding into Brandon but none of them were stoned at the time of the collison. If you had been there at the trial you would have known this. Fact: Pot will be detected in your system 30 days after smoking it! Dooesn't mean they were stoned. Try this one on.. This was Peryea's 4th DWI. 6 months prioe to killing my son, I spoke with Peryea stating to him that one day he was going to kill someone. I guess he didn't want to listen. Rot in He.. Peryea!

I was at the trial also . The way Charles looked was how his lawyer wanted him to.This was not his 4 th DWI. and the facts are that driver and passengers were smoking illegal drugs withen a short period of time before the accident .No matter How wrong Charles was it does not make it right for them to have no responsibility for the accident they were all at fault. How Many times have you drove home drunk dont lie because we all know.

Peryea had 3 prior DWI offenses. All were plea bargained. The night he killed became his fourth offense! As far as responsibility goes, I believe the young man payed with his life. How is that for responsibility? Peryea is where he belongs and should be there for the rest of his life!

I have pondered this for awhile now. To his sissy, your brother made a criminal choice that night of April 4, 2006. A choice he has made many times before. His record indicated that prior to April 4, 2006 he had three prior DWI charges. He was found guilty of this killing and found guilty of 2 counts of DWI. BOTH have been dismissed so there will no longer be a record of a DWI. That is where the injustice begins. You mention that there were two victims, but we all know that there were more than just 2. There were three victims in that car that night when your brother made the criminal choice to drive drunk, in the other lane, speeding and never hittung his brakes. You failed to mention that. Other victims of this crash are the State Police who had to respond to this killing. The EMT's that had to pull Brandon's body out of the wreck, the coroner who had to pronounce the victim dead. The CVPH Emergency staff that had to make sure his body was veiwable. His family who had to identify their sons body. His teammates also became victims of this criminal. The community at large morned the death of Brandon Dunlavey. How many community members are outraged that your brother is in prison? I could probably count on one hand. Your brother killed an innocent kid. How many times did you know your brother was out drinking and driving and did NOTHING to stop
him? It must be so hard for you and your family not to have poor chuck for Christmas. I wonder how hard it is for the Dunlavey's, not to have their son with them?

Thank you for your thoughts on this. I am so sick and tired of my sister and her family having to listen to idiots like this defend this drunk. There is no defense for what he did. Three years later and the pain still takes my breath away. We will never get over losing our Brandon. We can only learn to live with it.

I not know all the facts, but if the others took drugs then they are at fault too. So don't put all the fault on one person! They are all at fault!!!! I sorry that the parent's lost there son.I can understand there pain, as a soldier, I have lost close friends. You all may not understand what I mean, but in the military we are family and so I can feel what the parents are going though. But as I said earlier the others at fault too. That is something for the other to think about. An if can't except my thoughts then to hell with you all. The kids who took the drugs are just as much killers as my uncle!!!!!!!!!!

The kids who took the drugs are just as much killers as my uncle!!!!!!!!!! Are you insane? Your Uncle is an idiot and a killer. He was caught on numerous occasions driving drunk and never cared about anyone but himself. Your moron uncle was driving over the speed limit, in the wrong lane never hit his brakes and you blame the young man who was killed? You as much of an idiot as the killer is.

Before you start your attack on the way people write, you better take a look at your writing skills. Good thing the military took you. You sure as hell could not get a job as a teacher!

Hey, TLP this was and is between A and B so C your way out. Now to you Moron. Have you ever killed anyone, if not then you know it feels. So do not judge how some one reacts to the stress. Some loss it, some get agressive, some wien, and others drink. I'm not saying what he did was right but,you don't have the right to judge him. God must judge him and he must live with what happen. And at that for the rest of his live. I hope you never have to learn this feeling.
