Belington's Bar Customers

I did not respond to only your comment Belington Girl. I was trying to present the facts as I know them to all comments being made. Sorry if I offended you. I am a close personal friend and know this as a fact. There has needed to be something done about this bar for a very long time. All officers in Barbour County work their shift and then some. They are underpaid and underappreciated.

By the way, I am here with her right now, when all you chiefs decide, what happened, when it happened, how it happened, and who it happened to ;;;;;;;;; LET ME KNOW ...

How is she doing? Lots of us are praying for her swift recovery.

Better but still not good. Some of the responders need to understand,this is not about defending the law enforcement,or the driver, which some of you have. When someone defends that drunk irresponsible,person it sickens me. And I could'nt care less if a cop works his shift,good for him. This is about a woman, who cannot sit,cannot stand , cannot even roll over. Life as she knew it is gone.

One more comment, I must say...just a mom in charleston, you think you know it all. You dont...you are one of the people my last comment was directed to. So, if you want to tell tales, leave this blog....

I understand that the ABCA fined the bar $500.00

I have read over the posts of the last month or so. It sadnens me. It shows me how the world has changed. It used to be if it was somebody's fault, we blamed the person at fault. Now,, we blame everybody in the line of fire. Nothing is sacrad. Nobody is saying that the root of all evil is the bar. Why? You go in get drunk and a little bit more of extrciricular activites. You lose your mind and hurt someone. When the police get there to the den of lykens, nobody seen anything. So the police has been trying to step up to the porch waiting on the big dog so to speak. Then they get told to back off. Then Sandy's was to be fined $500.00. That's good I hope it easys their concience that good old ABC. What would we do without them---probably not have beer to get drunk off of? I don't know but every one is cutting everybody here. I am just trying to say what is real. The bar will be there, and arrests will continually be made there. I am truly sorry the lady was injuried but she or the Bennett's should not have been there intoxicated. Cops cannot be everywhere. I know that people thing that they can. They get there as they can to attempt to sort through the yelling and screamming while trying to take statements from intoxicated people as to what happened. And everybody tells the truth right???? Come on folks, the sad story is I watch people every day of my life and they just don't care. Most of them are out for me as an example, please don't shut my bar down, what will I do. Hmm...get a job that doesn't involve letting people get so drunk they become the problem. Fix the problem, stupid stuff will settle down. Oh and Belington girl does know what she is talking about cops. Try being around a family of them. See how long you last with politics and your "brothers" constantly cutting your throught and you can't please ANYONE! I presented facts, but look at the problem. Not the aftermath, the problem maybe then you wouldn't argue so much. Apathy--it's sad but that is what our world has become.

I have heard on the street that the ABC Agent for Barbour County has put pressure on the bar as will and has closed the two evenings in the past two weeks, I did ask why a higher up why only two evenings and not take the lic its the understanding that only the commissionre can take them and only the agent can close them down for public safety reasons for a short time Sounds like they need more power
