Robert Mann

It was my understanding that Robert Mann was too ill to go to prison for his part in the Bielinski mess a few years ago. I thought if he got better he was to go to jail. Yet, here it is, years later and he seems to be doing just fine. Is this what happens when your family donates a lot of money to Republican causes? Other people went to jail who played lesser roles in the scandal.

He turned Democrat after his brush with death. He saw time and time again where large donors get caught for "pay for play" with Diamond Jim Doyle and get away with it so he started giving Doyle "donations" to keep him out of jail. True story.....

You're right, Phish. I think he needs to harken back to those Republicans with good ole' family values---- upstanding men like Nevada Senator John Ensign,New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, and South Carolina Governor John Sanford. They've kept themselves out of jail, just like Mr. Mann.

Jack you forgot about Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Blago, Barney Frank, Chuck Robb, John Rostenkowski, the Keating 5.......

But back to the issue of why Mr. Mann is still not serving any time for his crime?

I don't know why he isn't doing time yet. You would have to ask the judge about that. I did however eat at his new restaurant this weekend and it was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. The patio overlooking the pond was very nice. You should go there and eat sometime. Nothing is better that sitting outside and drinking a nice cold glass of Stella.

I saw Robert and his chickie real estate girlfriend at the Corn and Brat days. If that guy's dying, I want wherever he is taking. I bet they serve brats in prison. Maybe he should try those.

Maybe the "chickie" girl friend is keeping him alive! I think it would be cruel and unusual punishment to put him in prison after battling colon cancer. I don't think his colon could handle the abuse some guy named Bubba would give it in prison! Can you squeal like a pig!

I have known Robert for over 25 years and I know in school he was a big drinker and every time he got in trouble it was either the name or his families money got him out of trouble.Plus, think about it, if the Mann's ever had to really pay for there crimes the Mann family might get mad and not do anything for the city anymore.then what?I have lived in Elkhorn all my life and went to school with kids that who have the last names that are big in Elkhorn and most of them were big drinkers and I remember them getting into BIG trouble but never got the punishment they would have if they would of been from some no name family. Elkhorn has always been about the families with money.If you don't have the right name,live somewhere else.

You guys dont know anything so just keep your mouth shut and if you dont know him then dont say anything.

They need to keep him out of jail so they can continue to rig all of their bids for City of Elkhorn work.

He doesn't have anything to do with Mann Brothers. Hasn't for years.

They still rig the bids, that's common knowledge. Elkhorn over pays for every project that Mann Brothers does because they rig the bids in their favor.

So what does that have to do with Robert Mann? Stay on task lefty I know it is hard for you to do. I find it to be a miracle that you can complete a sentence without blaming something on GW.

He has been a good friend of mine for many years. I think all of this should be put in the past and we all need to move on.

Once he pays his debt to society I will be more than glad to move on, but not until he pays for what he has done.

Maybe he will get one of my famous sausages shoved up the old colon when he goes to prison. Now that would be justice.

He now has a personal trainer and is lifting weights a couple days a week, hardly sounds sick to me. He should be lifting weights in prison.
