They probably want to find out and report to Hu Jintao ... what Yidische pussy it's all about..

... although it got diluted on the news boards and treated at veeery low key ... the Chinese are about to invest a lot of RMB's in Terra Sancta.

Maaaany moons ago, perhaps early 90's, on one of Eisenberg's (Israeli enterpreneur) trips to China, he introduced the Chinese to an Israeli National Project that never took off from the runway ...

A containers terminal inland, north of Eilat, in the Red Sea, interconnected by train to the Port of Ashdod on the Blue Mediterranean..

The Chinese probably told Eisenberg to fckkk off..!!
They can make more money selling in Fifth Avenue, N.Y....T shirts with the Che Guevara logo stamped on them...

However ... if you followed da'news ...and apparently Hu Jintao follows the news .... we had an Arab Spring ... the Brotherhood in Egypt ... and the Chinese are worried how their fckkn merchandise is going to make it to Europe and North Africa, in the event that some unshaved Arab starts fckking around on the Suez Canal...

That was the background ... of my two cents reporting..

Last week .. or two weeks ago, I read somewhere that a Chinese Delagation was in Terra Sancta ... and they want to build a containers' terminal in Eilat.

Also ... whith the old Subarus, beaten up supermarket shopping carts ... and empty soda pop cans that we ship them constantly ... they want to build the tracks from Eilat to Ashdod in order to push containers... at a high rate volume... by train..

On my last trip to California, near Long Beach ... I counted something like 140 containers ... some of them one on top of the other ... being pushed by two locomotives on the front and two locomotives on the back of that snake like line of slow moving containers....

I also asked like Uzi, WTF..??
I was answered that COSCO CHINA SHIPPING GROUP bought part of the Port of Long Beach or Los Angeles, built a container's terminal .... and this is how they move the containers from the Port to a stageing area ...

Logistics .... supported by huge investments in infrastructures...

I know two or three trucking companies in Israel ... that will go out of business if and when the Chinese deliver this Chinese-Israeli baby ...

China did the same favor for Dominica and it is still a third world zhithole. To be fair though, with the upgrades it is among the finest zhitholes to be found in the third world.

I'd play the strategic real estate a little closer.

...ALL HAND ON DECK..!!

Eran is running Yair Lapid -Johnny come lately- to the office of Prime Minister...

Eran, nice to read you...

That size shoe is too big for Yair ...

Why don't we start him at the kitchen ... you know ... wash dishes, chop onion, prepare pre-marinated skewers ...

That's the problem with you young brothers ... you want to jump stages ...

Easy... Eran ..
What if Panetta calls Yair in the middle of the night and tells him ...'Johnny, if you don't spread your legs wide open... Ali Khamenei is going to fire 12 rockets this evening on your zionist asses..'

... where does Johnny go from there..??

... it's too soon....

TRD and VOP thanks for the info, and I want to thank the fake US President for letting another country to be taken over by the Mozlem MF's. The Egypt arab summer , what a joke. He just fired all US friendly army brass, all of them and installed his own Mozlem bros. Mark it, this is the first day of war with Egypt, they gonna lose big time but arabs dont care about anything except their idiotic quoran and of course kill kill kill. There are enough arab assholes in Egypt so if half a million of them dies there are still 80 million or so left for the next round. Thanks NoBama, I hope you rot in a Kenyan shithole and soon.

Bet you didn't even bother with the article, please read it. That was the point in my post, not running Yair Lapid for office.

Either way, he'll do a better job than the stooges currently navigating our sinking ship of a state. He's a man with a vision, and that is something rarely seen in politics where the cynical and the opportunist have their way.

Nobama the killer of US troops.

Iraq to Release Accused Killer of U.S. Troops

Iraqi authorities have dropped charges against a high-profile Shiite terrorist accused of murdering American troops and are set to release him, as a Republican critic charges the Obama administration with botching the case.

Ali Musa Daqduq, a Lebanese national and one of the most senior Hezbollah figures ever to be in U.S. custody, was allegedly a key link between Hezbollah, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, and violent Shiite groups held responsible by the United States for deadly attacks on American troops.

Daqduq is suspected in the 2007 killings of five American soldiers in Karbala by assailants wearing American-style fatigues. He was in U.S. hands until late last year when he was handed over the Iraqi authorities, CNS News reported.

At the time Republican Sens. John McCain, Mitch McConnell, and Lindsey Graham and independent Sen. Joe Lieberman said they were “deeply concerned that Daqduq will never have to answer for his involvement in killing U.S. citizens, that he could be released from Iraqi custody for political reasons, and that he would then return to the fight against the United States and our friends.”

A U.S. military commission subsequently filed charges against Daqduq, including counts of murder and terrorism, and lodged a formal extradition application. But Iraqi courts dropped charges against him and last week the country’s Central Criminal Court tossed out the extradition request, according to CNS.

In a speech on the Senate floor on Thursday, Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama said:“The administration had years to transfer Daqduq to our detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, but because the president seemed to lack the political will to do so — I think because of campaign promises he improvidently made — one of the most dangerous, reprehensible terrorists ever in our custody will likely be allowed to go free.”

Obama as commander-in-chief “has a duty to those magnificent troops who have answered his call to go into harm’s way to execute U.S. policy,” Sessions stated.“Part of that duty is not to give away what they have fought and bled for. That includes not giving up prisoners whom these soldiers have, at great risk and effort, captured.

“With strong action we may be able to ensure that Daqduq is not released, that he is able to be tried for the murders he committed and the American soldiers he killed.”

Matthew Levitt of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy said:“Baghdad wants to balance its relationships with Iran and Washington, and this case stands at the crux of the two. Accordingly, Washington must make clear at the highest levels of the Iraqi government that there will be tangible consequences to summarily freeing an Iranian proxy with American blood on his hands.”

Thanks NoBama for the hate you got for the US and its servicemen.

Eran, I read the article.

I have many of Lapid's articles in Hebrew and also translated into English on My Documents file..
I love his style, originality, reasoning ... and what you call "vision"...

That will all work for us in another two or three terms of government (ten to twelve years)..

Lapid needs to learn the system from within, before we let him on the deck..

Not even if he says..."buh we maka yu lich!"?

A wise choice when you consider that our culture is incompatible with theirs on a quality basis, ISO or not. So much of what we take for granted is out of reach to common Chinese people. We treat our people differently...since the people of Israel and the US are not our most prolific resource we protect them differently.

I believe that manufacturing and selling the brunt of the world's cheap crap is a poor selling point for a society. Sure, they are the last to feel the ripples in the world economy because of their size and economic throughput but they are also the last to use that clout for good. I wouldn't be shocked to find that the reason for our sluggish recovery is tied to Chinese hegemony and a grand (yet quiet) strategy of lowering the bar to level the playing field.

¡Oye Eran! How they hangin'?

I want you to note that I read the Yair Lapid article before responding and I have to say...I mirror his opinion. Why? That's all...why?

Now that I no longer make a conscious effort to kill people, it would be shocking to find a former enemy who won't let it go. Case in point Vietnam: I spent three deployments roaming through their country converting money to noise and making big pieces into little pieces. Imagine my shock when I returned some thirty years later and nobody remembered me. In fact, not only WASN'T I a picture on the post office wall but they were happy I was there (with my dollars) and treated me as a friend no matter how many of them I reintroduced to their ancestors. Your enemies I'm afraid, have a considerably longer memory and a much more developed sense of revenge.

It's good to know this guy has the right stuff in your opinion...he's now on my radar and I look forward to learning more about him, specifically why you feel he's ready to lead.

Little Akio

The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some American History. Who said 'Give me Liberty, or give me Death'?"

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Little Akio, a bright foreign exchange student from Japan, who had his hand up: "Patrick Henry, 1775," he said.

"Very good!-- Who said,'Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth'?"

Again, no response except from Little Akio: "Abraham Lincoln, 1863."

"Excellent!" said the teacher continuing, "Let's try one a bit more difficult -- Who said,'Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country'?"

Once again, Akio's was the only hand in the air and he said: "John F. Kennedy, 1961."

The teacher snapped at the class, "Class, you should be ashamed of yourselves, Little Akio isn't from this country and he knows more about our history than you do."

She heard a loud whisper: "F**k the Japs."

"Who said that?-- I want to know right now!? she angrily demanded.
Little Akio put his hand up, "General MacArthur, 1945."

At that point, a student in the back said, "I'm gonna puke.'

The teacher glares around and asks,'All right!-- Now who said that?"

Again, Little Akio says, "George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991."

Now furious, another student yells, "Oh yeah?-- Suck this!"

Little Akio jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the teacher, "Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997!"

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said,

"You little sh*t!-- If you say anything else -- I'll kill you!"

Little Akio frantically yells at the top of his voice,

"Michael Jackson to the children testifying against him, 2004."

The teacher fainted.
As the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, "Oh sh*t, we're screwed!"

Little Akio said quietly, "The American People, November 4, 2008."

Now it's getting juicy!

I can't wait to see how the next month shakes out in Egypt. Traditionally I'd expect a coup to develop but the Sinai attack gives Mursi a broad sword to swing in reaction to his military's negligence, especially in the face of shared Israeli intelligence pointing to the attack.

The old guard may (or may not) decide to not go gentle into that good night. We'll just have to wait and see if Tantawi is an advisor or an exile.

You practically own this thread now days, don't you? Its nice being able to drop by every now and then and pick up where I left with the same correspondents like nothing happened. Maybe that's why I keep being drawn here again and again.

Yair Lapid is the rising voice of the moderates and the tired middle class, his father was the legendary leader of the Shinui ("change") party which represented those who were concerned with the rising political influence and demographics of the Ultra-orthodox Haredim sector, opposing their grasp over the mostly secular ruling coalitions.

Why is he ready to lead? No one is ever ready to lead, but there comes a time when a messianic figure must rise to deliver a desperate nation and secure its future or it will fade into history. Since the alternative to hope and faith is cynicism and despair I choose the torch of hope (Yair Lapid literally means "he who will light the torch" in Hebrew). "Cynics never built anything in the past" that's one of Lapid's slogans.

You want to know why Lapid is the right preson to deliver us to a better future? be the judge yourself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch...

In this video Yair Lapid is addressing an Atlanta conservative Rabinnical assembly in English which took place about two-three months ago in Atlanta. Tell me if you believe in him as I do afterwards.

As a politician he really reminds me of George Clooney's role in the "The Ides of March" (2011).

Just skip the first person addressing the audience in Hebrew, he is just briefing them on the current (by now old news) political shake downs in Israel. Yair Lapid's speach in English follows immediatly after.

Own it? Nah, think of me like a hub...Turkey, if you will.(kidding) There's no place like home eh? Well it's nice when the prodigal son returns too. Now all we need is your prodigal cousins and we'll have a proper dust-up :-))

Your guy comes to politics from journalism and his experience as a talking head will serve him well. He knows how to spin a yarn...can seamlessly segue tragedy to humor...he can turn a word...that Ceauşescu analogy was priceless...he thinks well on his feet. All of these makes him an endearing choice but do they make him a qualified one? He thinks he's prepared to lead or he wouldn't be running, I just doubt any of the messianic rhetoric crossed his mind in the process of deciding.

And "Change", where have we heard that one before? In my experience it's not always good. Has he voiced an opinion on the prospect of China operating the Orient express between Ashdod and Haifa?

.

God works in mysterious ways …
While in Cairo the stock market goes up 1.5% as a spin off of Mursi’s shuffling and re-shuffling on the military establishment, 250 miles north east from it, the stock market in Tel Aviv’s Achad Aam Street goes down 1.5%…!?

At face value, what we have in Cairo is a win – win situation…

The quasi secular Egyptian Officers that were on the road with Mubarak, are put on a drawer and replaced for Allah’s sympathizing brass…(BTW, we have seen it also happen in Erdogan’s Turkey)

The Brotherhood Community must be celebrating around cold Champagne … and the secular Egyptian youngers that called for an obliteration of the Egyptian military ruling, must be also in the midst of some sort of celebration..

So far, Mursi is delivering what da'People wrote wanted on the days of Tahrir Square's Summer..

Next waiting in line … are the most difficult to satisfy of all Egyptians …
I’m talking about those 90% of the population Egyptians that went to war against Mubarak,'just' because they want health, food, housing, education .. and all kind of historically non-justifiable social benefits from the Egyptian gov.

Let’s see what rabbit Mursi can get out of his hat, if at all, for the Egyptian poor and neglected…
In a worst case scenario, instead of health, food housing, education and social benefits … Mursi can give them, free of charge, Islam galore at its best, stuffed with hatred to Jews, Zionism, Israel …. and the mtthr fckkr West that does nothing but torpedo the Ummah..

Allahu Akhbarrrrr…!!

Don't take any risks when handling your finances today, because there are strange things going on. Someone may not be as straightforward and honest as usual, or can't explain themselves properly, which leads to misunderstandings and false assumptions. If you're spending money, make sure you're charged the right price and given the correct change. And don't let your wallet or purse out of your sight, in case you mislay it or someone nabs it.
