Elk Grove/Sacto area has the seventh (7th) WORST air quality in the USA. If you have small children get out before they develop asthma and emphysema.

Hello, my two cents- {1penny}I DISLIKE the gang movement down towards Wilton area(I doubt it will make it actually in Wilton) and south east Elk Grove. I do DISLIKE racist people also, but hey everyone is prejudice in some way or form, whether or not its racist or just assumptions.(This is just my opinion:) I feel like ignorent minorities (non-whites) feel like they need/want to be racist to us because they feel like they some how deserve it because of they way history favored 'The White Man'. People should just get on past this and start really treating each other as equals. localy and world-wide. Yes we do all have the same blood color inside us when its going to our heart and when we bleed when we are hurting. So LOVE dont HATE.

I'm moving to Elk Grove, CA this fall. We have a 3 year old daughter. Any advices for a good preschool school, elementary school? Good neighborhood? I appreciate any advice you can give us.

Stay in the area that puts your kids in Pleasant Grove HS.

No problem, I know the middle and High School are excellent schools with a great staff. My son entered college as a Soph after graduating from there. Plus they have great sports teams.

Do you mind telling us what are some of the areas in Elk Grove that we should avoid buy a home when the time comes?

Don't buy a home in Elk Grove in any month that has a vowel in it. Why not live at Riccky's house for a few months just to see if you like the area.

Thanks Jeff, I would look at all area's of EG, but ask what High School it feeds into and Pleasant Grove being top choice with Cosumnes oaks, Elk Grove, Sheldon, Franklin being second. Try to stay away from South Sacramento where sewer rats live like the fake rev LeRoy live, but every Friday I do throw a quarter at him so he can save up for more bath salts.
