Brandon Thai, you are blessed to have a facile mind, and blessed to use it.
Congratulations, Brandon! |
Good job Brandon!
I totally agree with you. |

"He was one of 269 students to obtain a perfect score of 2,400."
I'm fairly sure there are more than 269 Asian students in this area, let alone nationwide. Obviously, Really and Alena haven't taken the SAT. Otherwise, they would realize just what an achievement a perfect score really is. Way to go, Brandon! |

Is the name of the school he attends being withheld?

Most of what is reported on TV isn't news, but with stupidity (not hydrogen) as the basic building block of the universe - as evidenced by the above post - this deserves a mention. |

There is nothing exceptional about "asian intelligence". All it takes is a little bit of perseverence, dedication, and community support. It's sad instead of congratulating this child, you demean his accomplishment as some sort of expected result based on his genetic heritage. Perhaps if you expected a little bit more from your kids, and your friend's kids a perfect SAT would be less of an abberation. I guess it's easier to believe that your children are deficient though... Rock on Really. |
Would have been news if he didn't come form a posh life, but had to truly struggle and persevere to achieve this great feat. But some Asian kid from a well off family who attends a posh high school, would you really expect he do anything less?

Nicely done Brandon! Can we please get more kids pulling this off? It's not rocket science! It's just proper guidance from Mom and Dad.. Not only Asian people are capable of such achievements!

Actually, we do. While he had a better chance because his parents were affluent and he went to a well-to-do high school, the fact remains that the odds of him getting a perfect score on the SAT was still fairly slim. Why are you trying to take this away from him? |
Fantastic! I'm jealous. Way to go, Brandon!
Brandon, congratulations on a job well done. I'm sure your parents are very proud and you should be too.
Do I sense a heaping spoonful of jealosy??? And how do you know just how posh the lifestyle and high school is? And how does a posh lifestyle factor into working one's ass off?? You better get back to your job at Burger King. And king size that order for me. |
He should be playing GTA with the rest of the kids in America!

As usual JasonB, you take the words right out of my mouth |
He did it, 268 others did it. That means it CAN be done.
