Get your story straight. The couple was at the mall to case the Disney Shop and the Dollar Store. Since they parked in an area designated "do not leave your car unattended" they had no other choice but to leave someone behind. Anyhow, as they were leaving the mall they decided to look at engagement rings at Zale's. They ended up getting in a fight with the manager after he denied their credit card because it was reported stolen. When they finally got back into the parking lot, they forget where they parked because they did not remember what kind of car they had stolen. Hey, it sounds pretty legitimate to me. This could easily happen in Santa Cruz or Watsonville. It finally ended when they asked the security patrol if he had seen a car with a baby in back.

The news can report what they saw on camera which is of course proof, yes they went to the mall and he was in the car, but there are news reports that say he was left in the car for 30 minutes and reports that he was in there for 2 hours.
