hammon school and the elk citian

The reason I bought the elk citian news paper WAS because I have a grandson that has been top honers for six years and in sports for a long time just my luck I was at the dollar store and noticed this lady behind me at the ck out I made a remark about all the stuff she had for the school she was a teacher at hammon so I ask her about why they never had anything in the paper about the kids and se said she took stuff in the newspaper every week it just does"nt get in there, now if the paper wonts me next year do a better job I dont think you leave out a school in western oklahoma

I thought the paper was titled "The Elkcitian". Looks like if hammon wants a paper they should publish one. Can you imagine the size of the paper if every surrounding community expected a page with each publication?

If that were true, then why do they publish sports stuff from other schools, or help wanted from other towns?

You should have asked her to give you a quick "how to spell simple words and form coherent sentences" lesson.

They do and they will Hammon also. Hell, they've been having to divert resources to cover all the BS going on over at Erick!

The elk citians a joke. I know at least 10 families who sent "back to school pics" to them and they never put them in the paper. Why tell parents to do so, only to not publish them? That's bad business and just plain mean.

The Elk Citian is a 'real' newspaper - something Elk City had not seen for many years (though the other one is starting to come around, it had to in order to survive!)

Goes to show you can't please everyone all the time, but they have sure pleased a lot of people!

I emailed my son's first day of school picture it was in the paper a few days later. I saw today that there were more. I would say they are putting some in each day so keep looking! I am sure they got a high number of pictures and are doing the best they can to put as many as they can each day.
